    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove inclusion flowed in accompanied with molten steel from a molten steel supplying nozzle by forming molten steel flowing passage arranging panel-like weir having size satisfying a specific condition as a zigzag state in a tundish for continuous casting. SOLUTION: In the tundish 2 for continuous casting arranging wide lower weirs 1 having flat upper surface in the width direction between the molten steel supplying nozzle 5 for supplying the molten steel from the upper part and a molten steel ejecting nozzle 3 arranged at the bottom part, the panel-like weirs 4 are arranged on the wide lower weirs 1 as the zigzag state in the width direction of the wide lower weirs 1 so that the width length of the panel-like weir 4 becomes 0.5-0.7 times of the width length of the wide lower weir 1 and the height of the panel-like weir 4 becomes 0.4-0.8 times of the height of the wide lower weir 1 to form the molten steel flowing passage. In this result, the inclusion flowed in accompanied with the molten steel from the molten steel supplying nozzle 5 can surely be flowed up and removed in the suitable productivity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the contamination of molten steel caused by a strong deoxidizer by dipping a large diameter immersion tube into the molten steel in a ladle, blowing insert gas from a position having deeper position than the immersion position and adding carbonaceous material into the immersion tube at the initial stage of decarburize-refining. SOLUTION: While blowing inert gas into the molten steel 12 from a porous plug 18 at the bottom part 11a of a ladle 11 charging the molten steel 12, the immersion tube 13 is dipped into the depth of about 0.3-0.7 m from the molten steel surface 12a. The immersion tube 13 and the inner part of a vacuum vessel 14 are connected with an ejector and the air therein is sucked through a gas exhaust duct 15 and the pressure therein is reduced to about 0.2-100 Torr to execute the circulation and the stirring of the molten steel 12. At the initial stage of the decarburization-refining during about 0.5-5 min from the start of the decarburization-refining under reduced pressure, the carbon-containing material is discharged from a storing hopper 17 to a chute 16 to add this material at about 0.05-1.0 kg/ton of the molten steel 12 in the immersion tube 13. In this way, the carbon content is extremely raised to positively execute the deoxidation of the molten steel 12.

    • PURPOSE:To remarkably improve desulfurizing efficiency under a satisfactory working environment and to reduce desulfurizing cost by blowing the specific grain size of CaO granule into molten metal from the lance dipped by the prescribed depth under the specific condition. CONSTITUTION:The CaO granule is blown into the molten iron 11 in a torpedo car 10 with the lance 9 together with carrier gas. Then, >=85%wt.% of CaO powder consists of the powder of 45mum grain size and the desulfurizing treatment is executed under the conditions of >=700mm the dipping depth of lance 9, >=100m/sec gas line velocity and in the range of 4-60kg/min of powder supplying velocity. A conveyor 4 for pressure conveying the granule is communicated to the upper part of a blowing tank 1 in this desulfurizing apparatus through a slice valve 3, and at the lower part thereof, a powder discharge valve 5 which is provided with high chromium planting layer on the inner face of a casing and whose tip part of blade is formed to knife edge-state and in which the side plate is integrally fixed to both ends of the blade is communicated. On the other hand, the lance 9 and the powder discharge valve 5 are communicated through a three-way valve 7 and a guide pipe 8, and also a carrier gas piping 14 is communicated with the above guide pipe 8 through an automatic valve 13.
