摘要： PURPOSE: To enable stable rolling and to improve the material by providing plural heat holding furnaces in a direction perpendicular to a rolling line on the rolling line between a roughing mill group and a finishing mill group in completely continuous hot rolling equipment. CONSTITUTION: The sheet bar 5 which is roughly rolled with the roughing mill group 1 is lifted to the same height as the pass line of the roller table in a heat holding furnace 4 and successively fed into the heat holding furnace 4 with an inlet-side guide rollers 3 which is movable in the up-and-down directions and provided on the inlet side of the heat holding furnace of a heat holding line 4'. The heat holding furnace 4 is provided with the roller tables for transporting the sheet bar in the direction perpendicular to the rolling line in bilevel and covers the entire length of the sheet bar after rough rolling. The sheet bar 6 which is kept at a prescribed temp. in the heat holding furnace 4 by preventing temp. drop due to the radiation of heat is successively fed to a joining machine 10 or the finishing mill group 11 with an outlet-side guide rolles 8 which is provided on the outlet side of the heat holding furnace and movable in the up-and-down directions.
