摘要： PURPOSE:To directly detect roughness of a surface of a pressure roll and to sense degree of a local surface roughening, wear by providing surface roughness measuring unit to be scanned on the surface of the roll in an axial direction near at the roll. CONSTITUTION:A noncontact type surface roughness measuring unit 2 having a semiconductor laser is provided at a position near a pressure roll 1, and guided via a guide rail 4. A surface of the roll 1 is always monitored by a camera 3 from a position separate from the roll 1 during rolling or between rollings, and when a malfunction is discovered on the surface of the roll, the unit 2 is moved to a malfunction position. The position is scanned by the unit 2 to detect surface roughness of the roll 1. A roll surface grade of the roll 1 is altered according to roll surface roughness. Since a flaw grade of a steel plate is altered by a variation in the roll surface grade, the roll 1 is recombined in response to the surface roughening state of the surface of the roll to stabilize quality of a product. The unit 2 is always scanned, and the surface roughness of the roll 11 may be detected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To offer the automatic recognition controller for improving the profile precision the width direction of hoop steel which is being rolled in a continuous hot rolling plant. CONSTITUTION:The controller is provided with an X-ray thickness gage 1 being a profile measuring means, and a data processing means for executing blocking of data, filtering and waveform correction, a profile data collecting device 2, a neuro-computer 3 being a recognizing means for recognizing a profile, a learning means for leaning an error reverse propagation method, a storage means for storing rolling actual result data and rolling condition data, and a predicting means for predicting a profile of hoop steel rolled subsequently, and a control computer 11 being a preset control means. In such a way, a recognition rate of rolling control is improved, a non-linear discriminant function is realized, minimization of a prediction error is attained, the control can be executed with high precision, and a satisfactory shape is obtained extending over the whole hoop steel.

摘要： PURPOSE:To offer a device for automatically recognizing and controlling shape of band steel with which the shape of band steel during rolling can be improved. CONSTITUTION:The controlled variable of actuator is corrected with a controller 10 for control based on a recognized shape that is recognized with a recognition neural net 5 and leveling control of hot finishing mill is feedback controlled at real time, on the other hand, simultaneously the set value for setting bender of the rolled stock which is next rolled is set with a computer 9 for control based on the estimated shape of band steel that is estimated with an estimating neural net 8 and outputted to the controller 10 for control. In the case of the deterioration of the shape of band steel, feedback control for improving it can be done at real time, simultaneously the shape of band steel which is next formed is estimated and this can be reflected to the initialization for controlling rolling work. Highly accurate control is made possible by adopting the neural net using error inverse propagation method and the whole of band steel can be always made into a good shape.
