    • PURPOSE:To stack even packages containing a large amount of air in a block of at least two by a method wherein a stacking device for pillow packages is provided with a package flow control device on its upstream side and an encasing device is provided to encase the packages stacked by the stacking device as units. CONSTITUTION:A package stacking device is provided with a stopper 21 for blocking a transfer passage (g) formed on a roller conveyor (d) and a pushup mechanism 22 for raising to a predetermined height the rear end (b2) of a package (b) held by the stopper 21. The package stacking device is further provided on its upstream side with a stopping plate 31 adapted to adjust the transfer pitch of the package (b) being carried and move up and down relative to the transfer passage (g) and a driving device 32 for moving the stopping plate 31 up and down. When a plurality of the packages (b) exist, the stopping plate 31 is forced down by a pneumatic cylinder 32a of the driving device 32 to temporarily stop the packages (b) on the roller conveyor (d). When the packages (b) are removed by an encasing device 4, the stopping plate 31 is raised. Therefore, the encasing operation of the package can be performed as units.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress damage in the equipment caused by breakout(BO) to the min. by arranging a light receiving device for light in the visible region at position facing cast slab supporting device and comparing and calculating the detected light quantity thereof with the BO developing reference value. CONSTITUTION:A quick changing stand device 1 is constituted of a continuous casting mold 3 for steel and the cast slab supporting device 4. The light receiving device 11 for light in the visible region is arranged at the position facing the supporting device 4. The BO developing reference value obtd. from variance quantity of the light at the supporting device 4 at the time of developing the BO is beforehand inputted to an inputting part 13. Further, the BO development deciding device 12 is constituted of the input part 13 and the comparison- calculating part 14 for comparing the detected light quantity from the light receiving device 11 with the BO developing reference value. By this method, the BO development can be automatically detected at good accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a cast slab and to reduce clogging of a nozzle by detecting number of bubbles and degree of flame size on molten metal surface in a mold, comparing these detected values with permissible limited value at the time of developing the nozzle clogging and controlling gas blowing rate. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device 7 for picking up image of the molten metal surface (y) is arranged above the mold 5 for continuous casting. The detected picture signal with the above device during continuous casting, is arithmetically processed with a picture processor 8 and the number of bubbles floated and the degree of developed flame size on the molten metal surface are detected. These detected values are compared with the permissible limited value beforehand obtd. from correlation between the gas blowing rate and the number of bubbles, the degree of flame size at the time of developing boiling and the nozzle clogging with a comparison device 9. When the number of bubbles and the degree of flame size exceed the permissible limited value, immediately the control of gas blowing rate is executed to secure the suitable gas blowing rate. By this method, the impurity in the molten steel can be removed.

CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical bag is formed by feeding a packaging film F around a filling tube 21 of a pillow type packaging device 2, and a contact is put in the cylindrical bag from a hopper 20. The external surface of the filled cylindrical bag is imaged by a TV camera 55, and the picture is transmitted to a taken picture LRGB decoder 61. In this case, the taken picture is converted into picture data and stored in a color picture memory 62. According to the picture data stored in the picture memory 62, a favorable article or defective article is decided by calculating the occupied rate of a specified type of the picture data in a window at a specified location of the frame. In the case of a defective article, a shaking shoot 29 is switched, and the defective article is removed from the line.
