    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively manufacturing a seamless steel pipe superior in grain size properties and cold workability, without deteriorating quality through decarbonization or the like.
      SOLUTION: A material of the steel pipe comprises, by mass%, 0.10-0.35% C, 0.05-0.35% Si, 0.20-1.00% Mn, 0.80-2.00% Cr, 0.0005-0.0,050% B, and 0.010% or less N, further one or more elements from among three elements of 0.05-0.20% Ti, 0.02-0.20% Nb and 0.02-0.20% V, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities. The method for manufacturing a case-hardened seamless steel pipe superior in cold workability and grain size properties comprises piercing and rolling the steel material at a heating temperature of 1,250°C or higher; cooling the hot steel pipe to the Ar
      1 point or lower at the rate of 0.1°C/s or more; then reheating it to a temperature between the Ac
      3 point and 1,050°C; and finish-rolling it.
