    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for regenerating a waste solvent to solve problems of regenerated solvents by unknown cause. SOLUTION: The method for regenerating a waste solvent includes the following processes. (1) The waste solvent is inspected whether it is originally neutral or not. (2) If the solvent is originally neutral, (i) a neutralizer is added to neutralize the solvent and then the solvent is refined by distillation and recovered, or (ii) while a neutralizer is intermittently or continuously added during distillation to carry out neutralization, the solvent is recovered. (3) If the solvent is not originally neutral, (a) the waste solvent is analyzed to determine the quantity of impurities consisting of an acid component or an alkali component and (b) (i) a neutralizer in an amount corresponding to the above quantity is added and the solvent is refined by distillation and recovered or (ii) while an alkali component or an acid component in an amount corresponding to the above quantity is intermittently or continuously added to carry out the neutralization during distillation, the solvent is recovered.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat efficiency and hereby obviate the need of concentration means in a previous process by surrounding an internal chamber with a group of heating drums formed by orienting a specific number of heating drums vertically and bringing them into pressure contact at their rotation surfaces, providing an outside container for accommodating the group of the heating drums, and oppositely rotating adjacent ones among the heating drums. SOLUTION: An internal chamber is surrounded by a group of heating drums formed by orienting heating drums 1 comprising an even number of 4 or more vertically and bringing them into pressure contact at their rotation surfaces, and an outside container 4 is provided for accommodating the heating drum group. A scraper blade 2 is provided for scraping a dried material adhering to the heating drum 1, and a dried material recovery region 3 is provided in which a dried material is dried and to which the dried material is scraped and collected. The adjacent heating drums 1 are oppositely rotated with time aid of a motor 6, a V belt, a chane 7, and rotary shafts 8 of the heating drums 1. Hereby, heat efficiency is sharply improved, and there is eliminated the need of concentration means in a previous process even though the material to be dried is a thin solution.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for cleaning exhaust gas containing volatile organic compounds [VOC(VOC having physical properties such as a higher boiling point than that of water, hydrophilicity and easy dissolvability in water, and having no azeotropic point with water)] discharged from a hot air dryer of a chemical plant, and recovering enriched liquid. SOLUTION: By using this VOC recovering and enriching apparatus which is composed of a VOC enriching section having one block of vapor-liquid contact mechanism and a recovering section in the gas downstream side of the enriching section, water serving as an absorbent supplied from the gas downstream side of the recovering section is made to flow down through the enriching section while absorbing VOC contained in exhaust gas in the recovering section, VOC-containing exhaust gas is introduced from the gas upstream side of the enriching section, and water, the absorbent, is vaporized in the enriching section to discharge cleaned gas to the system outside through the recovering section. The VOC enriched liquid enriched in the enriching section is sent to a storage part provided at the lower end of the apparatus. Stored VOC liquid is circulated to the gas downstream side of the enriching section, VOC is enriched by vaporization of water in the circulation liquid, and the enriched circulation liquid is discharged to the system outside, when reaching a given concentration.       SOLUTION: In the method for recovering the hydrofluoric acid, crude hydrofluoric acid is taken out as vapor by heating a hydrofluoric acid waste solution in an evaporation pot (1), and at the same time, in recovery operations for recovering distillates by distilling the crude hydrofluoric acid with a distillation tower (2), the distillate is recovered as recovery water when the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the distillate is not higher than the upper limit of the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the recovery water, the distillate is recovered as an intermediate solution when the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the distillate is not lower than the upper limit of the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the recovery water and lower than the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the hydrofluoric acid to be recovered, and the distillate is recovered as the purified hydrofluoric acid when the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the distillate is not lower than the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in the hydrofluoric acid to be recovered. Further, in the method, sulfuric acid is added to the hydrofluoric acid waste solution of the distillation tower (2) in an amount sufficient to suppress the deposition of metal components.
