    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine valve gear for an internal combustion engine, in which friction among a cam, a shim, and a valve lifter is sufficiently reduced.
      SOLUTION: A disc-shaped recess part 11a is formed on an upper end face 11A of a valve lifter 10. The axis of the recess part 11a is arranged to be separated from the axis of the valve lifer 10 in an axial direction of a shaft 31. The shim 20 is disc-shaped, and a diameter of the recess part 11a is slightly larger than a diameter of the shim 20. The shim 20 is housed in the recess part 11a to be rotatable in a slide-contact manner with respect to the valve lifter 10, with positional relation coaxial with the recess part 11a. A part of an outer peripheral face 30B of the cam 30 abutting on an upper face 20B of the shim 20, that is, a central part of the outer peripheral face 30B of the cam 30 in an axial direction of the shaft 31 is arranged on the axis of the valve lifter 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply the sufficient oil to a contact face with a valve stem end of an adjuster bolt, by installing a bypass on an oil passage from a shaft support face of an rocker arm to an adjuster bolt hole, and mounting an outlet of the bypass on an valve side opening of the adjuster bolt hole. SOLUTION: A bypass 11 is installed on an oil passage 4 from a shaft hole 2 externally fitted to a rocker shaft of a rocker arm 10, to an adjuster bolt hole 3. This bypass 11 is branched in front of the adjuster bolt hole 3, and is extended to a valve side in parallel with the adjuster bolt hole 3, and an outlet 12 of the same is located near a valve side opening of the adjuster bolt hole 3. When the oil feed amount of an oil pump is small, a temperature is low, and the viscosity of the oil is high at the start of an engine, or during the idling, the oil is flown out from the outlet 12 through the bypass 11, so that a contact face with a valve stem end 7 of an adjuster bolt 6 is effectively lubricated.
