    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid crystal polyester resin composition which obtains a molded product with reduced outgassing in a high temperature environment associated with solder welding on surface mounting. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a liquid crystal polyester composition having a deflection temperature under load of ≥230°C to be obtained by melt kneading 90-40 wt.% liquid crystal polyester having a melting point of ≥320°C obtained by acylating at least a part of the hydroxyl groups in a monomer group containing ≥80 mol% p-hydroxybenzoic acid, terephthalic acid, and 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl (including their derivatives) and/or phenyl esterifying at least part of the carboxyl groups in the monomer group, and then polycondensing the resulting mixture and 10-60 wt.% inorganic filler by a kneader having an opening for eliminating volatiles from the materials to be kneaded and a pair of double-thread screws, the kneader having a screw contact ratio of ≥1.06 is used to produce a low outgassing liquid crystal polyester composition.
