    • PURPOSE:To subject a material to be treated which has a complex shape to activation treatment more easily, quickly and uniformly by providing an ion drawing electrode opposite to an excitation electrode and injecting activated gas which is passed through an electric discharge part and activated while rotating an injection port in constant speed. CONSTITUTION:High voltage is impressed between the cylindrical excitation electrodes 42 and the counter electrodes 43 which are provided via the dielectric materials 44 to perform electric discharge. Furthermore the electric fields wherein electrons proceed to the ion drawing electrodes 57 from the excitation electrodes are caused in the discharge parts 46 by impressing high voltage between the excitation electrodes and the ion drawing electrodes 57 opposing thereto via the spaces. Gas fed to the discharge parts through a passage hole 47 is ionized not only on the surfaces of the excitation electrodes but also in the insides of the electric fields to generate plasma. Even if a material to be treated has a complex shape, it can be subjected to surface treatment extremely quickly and uniformly by injecting the activated gas having high- concn. negative ions through the injection holes 49 rotating in constant speed in accordance with the rotation of a rotating shaft 45.

    • PURPOSE:To perform corona discharge treatment of an object to be treated at a small power consumption by promoting activation, by blowing a gas from an electrode wire attachment member adapted so that the gas can be blown inside and having a number of gas blow holes on the outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:A base electrode 7 comprising a plastic mold 6 and an electroconductive metal layer 5 and an object 1 to be treated are transferred to the direction of an arrow A. A high voltage is applied between the base electrode 7 and a discharge electrode 8 which comprises a support shaft 9 and an electrode wire attachment member 10 having a hollow part 11 communicating with a gas blow duct 13 and gas blow holes 14 and to which a number of dis charge electrode wires 15 the lowest ends of which are in contact with the surface of the object 1 is attached in the form of pendants and which can vibrate vertically in the direction of an arrow B or can rotate and vibrate in the direction of an arrow C to perform corona discharge treatment of the object 1. At the same time a gas (e.g., air), preferably heated to 30-100 deg.C, is blown from the blow holes 14 to promote activation of the surface of the object 1.

    • PURPOSE:To perform corona discharge treatment of an object to be treated uniformly and exactly, by vibrating a discharge electrode having a number of specified discharge electrode wires each of whose ends are cut so that they may form a specified shape in the vertical and horizontal directions. CONSTITUTION:A base electrode 7 comprising a plastic mold 4 and an electroconductive metal layer 6 and an object to be treated 1 (e.g., automobile bumper made of a polyolefin material) are transferred in the direction of an arrow A. A discharge electrode 9, formed by fixing a number of discharge electrode wires each of which is a wire-like object formed by twisting stainless steel fibers into a string like a twisted paper string on the outer periphery of a cylindrical electroconductive rotary body 10 so that they may form a helix, rotates and moves in the vertical direction along the side 2 of the object 1. A pendant height-adjustable discharge electrode 12 equipped with a support shaft 13 and an electrode wire attachment member 14 having a number of discharge electrode wires 15 the lower ends of which are in contact with the upper surface 3 of the object 1 treats the upper surface 3. Corona discharge treatment is performed by applying a high voltage between the electrode 9 and the electrode 7 and between the electrode 12 and the electrode 7.

    • PURPOSE:To perform corona discharge treatment of an object to be treated uniformly and efficiently, by fixing a plurality of specified electrode wires of a rotary discharge electrode on the outer periphery of a rotary body so that the wires may form a helix around the rotary body. CONSTITUTION:Objects 2 to be treated (e.g., automobile bumpers made of a polyolefin resin material) to the inside of each of which a base electrode 3 composed of an electroconductive metal layer 5 and a plastic mold 4 is attached are placed on a transfer means 1 so that they are transverse or parallel to the direction of transfer A. In a rotary discharge electrode 6, a cylindrical rotary body 9 is fixed between a first support shaft 7 fitted with a flange and a second support shaft 8 fitted with a flange and a plurality of discharge electrode wires each of which is sewing thread made by spinning a number of stainless steel fibers into a string like a twisted paper string are fixed in the form a helix around the outer periphery of the rotary body. This electrode 6 is set in a predetermined position and rotates and moves upwardly along the external side surface of the object 2 which is transferred in the direction of an arrow. When a high voltage is applied between the electrode 6 and the electrode 3, the corona discharge treatment of the object 2 is performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deposition of a powder paint on the inner face of an electrostatic powder coating booth by providing an air curtain between the inner face of the booth and a material to be coated and electrostatically coating the material with the powder paint. SOLUTION: An electrostatic powder coating booth 1 is provided with a conveyor 12 and a powder coating gun 14, an air-curtain flow discharge port 11 is furnished on the ceiling and inner side face, and an air-curtain flow is generated by a blower connected to the port. Meanwhile, an air-curtain flow suction port 15 connected to an exhauster is provided at the lower part of the booth 1 to such the air-curtain flow. When electrostatic coating is conducted, a powder paint is delivered from a powder paint feeder 18, charged by the gun 14, blown and deposited on a material 13 to be coated. The surplus paint is recovered in a recovery pipe 16 set below the booth 1 by the air-curtain flow from the discharge port 11, separated from dust in a cyclone 2 and reutilized.
