摘要： PURPOSE: To form a composite paint coated film by a wet-on-wet system in the formation of the composite paint coated film contg. a painted layer by electrodeposition, by using a water paint dispersed therein with a powder resin for a chipping sealer layer and an intermediate painted layer.
CONSTITUTION: A painted layer by electrodeposition, and if necessary a chipping sealer layer, an intermediate painted layer and a finish painted layer are applied on the surface of a substrate such as a steel plate treated with zinc phosphate or the like. A water paint is used for the chipping sealer layer and the intermediate painted layer and a paint prepd. by dispersing a powder resin in an aq. resin is used for at least one layer thereof. The paint is applied while the adjacent lower layer is not cured yet. The finish painted layer is then applied after stoving and curing. The composite paint coated film having good appearance is formed with good workability and with less generation of pinholes and sags.

Pref. further a water-soluble amino resin is added thereto. Various additives, pigment, etc. are blended with the resulting film-forming component to obtain the desired water paint compsn.

A hardener, a pigment, a dispersant, etc. are blended with the resulting film-forming component to obtain the desired water paint compsn. This compsn. is suitable for use as intercoat for automobile, anti-corrosive primer, etc.
