SOLUTION: This composition is explosives composed of 5-25 wt.% aqueous solution of hydroxylamine nitrate at >=30% concentration, an oxidizing water-soluble component at pH4-7 composed of 50-75 wt.% ammonium nitrate, 3-25 wt.% auxiliary oxidizing agent comprising other nitrates or perchlorates, 0.10-1.00 wt.% pH stabilizer comprising acetic acid (sodium acetate) or citric acid (sodium citrate) and 5-20 wt.% water, 1.5-5.0 wt.% carbonaceous fuel component, an emulsifying agent component composed of 2.0-5.0 wt.% sorbitan fatty acid ester type emulsifying agent and 0.10-30.0 wt.% at least one or more specific gravity regulators selected from of a chemical foaming agent, a glassy hollow microsphere, a resinous hollow microsphere and a ceramic hollow microsphere and has 0.50-1.25 g/cc density.

    • PURPOSE: To eliminate static electricity generated at the time of loading explosive powder, etc., by forming an igniter inserting hole opened at an igniter support protrusion made of a conductive material toward the outside and to be inserted with an igniter by allowing it to protrude from the one end face of a cartridge body made of resin inward. CONSTITUTION: A through hole 23 is formed at the one end face 13 of a cartridge body 11. An igniter supporting protrusion 25 made of a conductive material is inserted into the hole 23. The protrusion 25 is formed of resin mixed with several % of carbon. An igniter insertion hole 33 opened at the center of the protrusion 25 toward a collar 29 and to be inserted with an igniter 31 is formed. Explosive powder, etc., is filled in the body 11 in the state that a ground rod is inserted into the hole 33 of the protrusion 25. Static electricity generated at the time of loading the explosive powder, etc., is grounded via the protrusion 25 and the rod, and hence the electricity generated at the time of loading the explosive powder, etc., can be effectively removed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance water resistance of the composition and to maintain and improve its performance by coating (or mixing) ammonium nitrate used as the main component of a granular explosive composition, with a coating agent. SOLUTION: In the preparation of this composition: (1) ammonium nitrate, i.e., a main component of the composition, is coated with a coating agent; (2) a powdery metal is added to and mixed into the coated ammonium nitrate described in the item (1); (3) the coating agent described in the item (1) is a mixture of at least three materials selected from three groups of materials respectively, wherein the three groups are a group of waxes, a group of polymers such as polystyrene, polyvinyl acetate, ethyl cellulose and nitrocellulose, and a group of aromatic dinitro compounds; (4) the powdery metal described in the item (2) is at least one powdery metal selected from powdery aluminum, magnesium, magnalium and ferrosilicon; (5) in the item (1) or (2), a water-insoluble void-filler material is added to the interparticle spaces of ammonium nitrate particles and mixed into them; (6) the void-filler material described in the item (5) consists of gelatinized granules; and (7) the gelatinized granules described in the item (6) are obtained by granulating a gelatinized material formed from water or an oxidizing agent aqueous solution and a water-soluble thickening agent such as guar gum or locust-bean gum.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance explosive power of an explosive composition without reducing its performance with respect to low-temperature initiation sensitivity and sympathetic detonation sensitivity and also without adversely affecting its aging stability by controlling the degrees of oxygen excess/shortage of emulsion base materials before and after the addition of a metallic heat-generating agent within their respective specified ranges. SOLUTION: This w/o type emulsion explosive composition comprises: a discontinuous phase consisting of ammonium nitrate, another oxidizing salt(s), water and an organic amine oxidizing salt(s); a continuous phase consisting of petroleum hydrocarbons and an emulsifier suitable for forming a w/o type emulsion; a specific-gravity adjusting agent; and 3-20 wt.% of a metallic heat-generating agent, wherein the explosive composition contains water (or water content) in a 5-20 wt.% ratio of the water to the whole explosive composition, and also, the degree of oxygen excess/shortage of an emulsion base material having a composition before the addition of the metallic heat-generating agent, is adjusted to -5.00 to +3.00 g/100 g and the degree of oxygen excess/shortage of another emulsion base material having a composition after the addition of the metallic heat-generating agent, is adjusted to -20.00 to -4.00 g/100 g, and further, as the metallic heat-generating agent, a powdery or flaky metallic heat-generating agent having a particle size distribution such that the weight ratio of the particle fraction passing through a sieve of the sieve designation 149 μm specified in JIS or other equivalent standards) to the total weight of all the particles is >=90 wt.%, is preferred.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sensitivity of a conventional non gunpowder fragmenting composition of an inflammable solid material of a dangerous material classified as the first kind in the second class to the less sensitive inflammable solid material of the dangerous material classified as the second kind in the second class or lower. SOLUTION: This non gunpowder fragmenting composition is constituted by a thermit agent consisting of aluminum and cupric oxide, a gas evolving agent consisting of an alum, a binder consisting of vinyl chloride, and a desensitizing agent consisting of any one of stearic acid salt, an oxalic acid salt, a carbonic acid salt, a bicarbonic acid salt or a microcrystalline wax having >=80 deg.C melting point. As the stearic acid salt, calcium stearate, magnesium stearate, aluminum stearate and zinc stearate are cited. As the oxalic acid salt, magnesium oxalate is cited. As the carbonic acid salt, magnesium carbonate is cited. As the bicarbonic acid salt, sodium bicarbonate is cited. The content of the desensitizing agent is in a range of 0.5-5.0 wt.%, especially 0.7-3.0 wt.%. As the alum, potassium alum or ammonium alum is cited.
