    • PURPOSE:To remove soil effectively such as rolling mill oil adhered to the surface of steel material, by using a detergent prepd. by mixing an org. chelating agent with a surfactant, in addition org. sulfur compound, if necessary further with a foam inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:For the org. chelating agent is used a compound having OH and COOH; NH2 and COOH; or OP(OH)3 and COOH group in a molecule. For the surfactant are used anionic, nonionic and amphteric surfactants. For the sulfur compound is used a compound shown by Formula I, where R1, R2 are H, alkyl, aryl having 1-8 carbon atoms, -(CH2-CH2)n-H, and those groups which condense with each other to form an cycloaliphatic or a heterocyclic compd. A is shown by Formula III, where R3, R4 are the same as R1, R2, or -S.M, -SH.X, or alkyl or aryl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, M is an alkali metal, X is an amine having 1-4 carbon atoms, an alkanolamine having up to 6 carbon atoms, a saturated cyclic amine having 5-6 carbon atoms. For the sulfur compound is also used a compound shown by Formula II, where R is an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, x is 1-5, y is 0-5, B is H, -(CH2-CH2)n-H or R. The compound I is mixed with the compound II (ethylene thiourea, dibutylsulfide etc.) and with above-described chelating agent and surfactant to form a detergent, which removes soil in a short time.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of thickness of the product sheet rolled by the tandem cold rolling mill, by controlling the rolling reduction of the first-stage stand according to the proportional plus integral control system depending on the measured thickness value on the discharging side of the first-stage stand, and besides, by controlling the roll speed according to only the proportional control system. CONSTITUTION:The X-ray gaugemeter 6, installed on the discharging side of the stand 1, sends the thickness deviation signal to the control units 7, 9, which then control the screw down device 8 according to the proportional plus integral control system, and also, control the roll speed control unit 11 according to the proportional control system only; hereby, the interference between two functions is prevented. Next, for the purpose of controlling the roll speed of the stand 5, above stated thickness deviation signal is sent to the time processing chircuit 12, and the time required by the rolled material to travel from the stand 1 to the stand 5 is estimated from the outputs of the tachometer generators 17, 18, and then, the time constant is corrected correspondingly to the time lag. By this correction signal, the control unit 16 is controlled to obtain the final aim thickness.
