    • PURPOSE: To attain a finished ground surface which is highly precise and good by installing one or more dressing electrodes for dressing a grinding surface of a grinding wheel and one or more dressing electrodes, per one side, for dressing the end of the grinding surface of the grinding wheel at one side or both sides of the grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION: A dressing electrode 2 for dressing the grinding surface of a grinding wheel is fitted so that the grinding surface of the grinding wheel 1 may be dressed in the parallel direction to it, and a dressing electrode 3 for end dressing is fitted so that both the ends of the grinding surface of the grinding wheel 1 may be processed in a tapered form. A controller 4 for the dressing electrode 2 is fitted so that the dressing electrode 2 may reciprocate in the orthogonal direction to the grinding wheel rotating direction of the grinding wheel 1. A controller 5 for the dressing electrode 3 is installed so that the dressing electrode 3 may reciprocate at such an angle as to chamfer the grinding surface of a grinding wheel 1 into the desired tapered form. The dressing current of the respective electrodes 2, 3 is controlled by a dressing current controller 11 according to the load current of a grinding wheel motor 6 detected by a detector 8.

    • PURPOSE: To solve a concern of feed marks generated by a strong contact of both side parts of a grinding wheel while grinding a cylindrical element such as a roll, by decreasing abrasive grain concentration at both the side parts of a conductive grinding wheel for grinding by a particular amount smaller than other area. CONSTITUTION: By forming a grinding band 101 made of a compound of conductive binder and super abrasives without seams in the peripheral direction with prescribed thickness on the outer periphery of a disc-shaped conductive element 102, a conductive grinding wheel 1 is formed. By using a seamless grinding wheel as the grinding wheel 1, grinding can be conducted over the whole periphery of the grinding wheel, and chattering marks can be prevented from occurring. The grinding band 101 is formed so as to change the distribution degree of abrasive grain in the width direction. Abrasive grain concentration at both the side parts (a) of the grinding wheel is 85% and the distribution degree in the middle part (b) is 100%. It is thus possible to decrease contact pressure with a material to be processed at both the side parts (a), preventing feed marks from occurring.

    • PURPOSE: To provide uniform grinding in the circumferential direction of a disc-shaped grinding wheel and prevent chattering marks from occurring by fitting a conductive grinding belt in the circumferential direction integrally without seams at the external circumference of the conductive grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION: A conductive wheel 103 whose inner circumference is combined with the step-wise external circumference of the conductive wheel 102 through a layered vibration isolating material 104 such as epoxy resin and synthetic resin resinoid, having high elasticity and which is formed into a step-wise shape in its cross section is installed at the external circumference of the conductive wheel 102 whose external circumference is formed into a step-wise shape in its cross section, and is fixed by bolts 105. A grinding belt 101 is formed integrally without seams at the cylindrical external circumference of the conductive ring 103 to constitute conductive grinding wheel 1. The grinding belt 101 is formed by shaping super abrasives with conductive binder which is made up of various kinds of metals such as copper, silver, platinum, aluminum, zinc, titanium, nickel, chromium, cobalt, magnesium, iridium and beryllium or alloys made of more than two of these metals.
