摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and quickly cut and remove metal, slag and refractory on the inner surfaces of immersion tubes and circulating tube in an RH vacuum degassing apparatus. SOLUTION: Whole device is shifted below the immersion tubes 1 by operating a base carriage 17 and a bit 2, upper support 8 and cutting waste chute 9 are risen. At this time, the alignment between the bit 2 and the immersion tube 1 is executed by inclining a guide rail 16. Successively, firstly, the support 8 is held to an immersion tube connecting flange 1a and fixed. Successively, the feeding speed of the bit 2 is matched to the feeding speed at the time of cutting the refractory, and the cutting in the inner surface of the immersion tube 1 with the bit 2 is started. When the rotation stops on the way of cutting, the feeding speed is changed over, and the cutting is again executed to execute the cutting to a prescribed position. The cutting waste discharged during cutting is recovered into a cutting waste bag 12 through a chute 9. After completing the cutting, the bit 2 is lowered and successively, the support 8 and the chute 9 are lowered to complete the work.

摘要： PURPOSE: To effectively adhere refractory to repair by allowing the repairing refractory in a projecting tube to project toward the position required to be repaired by the pressure of compressed air from a compressed air supply source connected to the tube. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for projecting to repair comprises a projecting tube 1, a refractory charging mechanism 2 for charging a predetermined quantity of repairing refractory in the tube 1, and a compressed air supply source 4 connected to the tube 1 via a hose 3. The tube 1 and the mechanism 2 are installed on a table 5. The table 5 is so pivotally secured by a shaft 9 as to rotate the tube 1 on a rotary table 8 rotatably supported to the upper end of the strut 7 of a base 6 in the elevating direction, and elevated by a tilting cylinder 10. Thus, the direction of the tube 1 is arbitrarily selected and the projection is conducted by the pressure to repair the position to be repaired even if the position is at a high place or a remote distance.

In this way, the electrode pulling machine 20 and the electrode bottom 13 are fixed, a hydraulic jack 9 is operated, an upper end of the hydraulic jack 9 is abutted against an iron surface 16a of the furnace bottom part and it is depressed, resulting in that the formed refractory materials 28 having a downward expanded taper are cut away from the refractory bricks 30 and then the electrode bottom 13 including the furnace bottom electrode 30 is pulled out of the furnace. Peeled-off surfaces of the refractory materials 28 is maintained and repaired, the electrode bottom 13 having a new furnace bottom electrode 30 buried therein is transported into the furnace with a steel receiving boggie 1, the electrode bottom 13 on the receiving table 4 is fitted, a peripheral part of the electrode bottom 13 is finished and then a replacement of the furnace bottom electrode 30 is completed.
