    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reaction interface area between slag and molten metal and to accelerate the refining of the molten metal with the slag by stirring and mixing the floated-up slag and the molten metal in a molten metal vessel. SOLUTION: A cylindrical body 3 for dipping up, opening in the vertical direction is dipped into the molten metal 2 incorporated in the molten metal vessel 1 from the upper part. A flow-out opening hole 4 arranged at the upper side wall is positioned at a part above the surface of molten slag 5 existing on the molten metal 2, and gas is supplied into the molten metal 2 near just below the cylindrical body 3 for dipping up from a lance 6 for blowing the gas. The bath surface in the cylindrical body 3 for dipping up is made to be higher than the bath surface in the molten metal vessel 1, and also, the molten metal 2 is shifted to the upper part by the gas lift pumping action of rising bubble 7 and flowed out from the flow-out opening hole 4 to promote the mixing of the molten metal with the slag 5 existing in the molten metal vessel 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of an immersion tube by improving the cooling of a core metal forming the immersion tube in a degassing equipment. SOLUTION: Cooling water is supplied into a water supplying tube 14 by driving awater supplying pump 19, and after promoting the cooling of double tube core metals 13 and a refractory 3 by flowing the cooling water into a cooling water piping 17 arranged in the gap of the double tube core metals 13, the cooling water is drained from a drainage pipe 10. Since the cooling water is used as the cooling medium, the cooling capacity can drastically be increased. Further, since the cooling of the double tube core metals 13 is executed by supplying the cooling gas into the gap of the double tube core metals 13 from a cooling gas supplying tube, the extension of the service life of the immersion tube 10 is achieved. In the case the cooling water piping 17 breaks from happening, the steam developed caused by water breakage is quickly escaped to the outer part through a gas exhaust opening hole 16 to prevent the steam explosion. Further, the steam in the cooling water piping 17 is escaped to the outer part through a safety valve 21 arranged in each of the water supplying pipe 14 and the drainage pipe 15.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the vol. of a vessel and to quickly discharge the content in the vessel by arranging an opening hole for receiving molten metal at the centeal part in the shifting direction of the vessel and supporting the bearings of the vessel so as to be freely elevated/lowered. SOLUTION: A transporting equipment of the molten metal is provided with the vessel 1 opening the opening hole 8 for receiving the molten metal at the center part 2 in the shifting direction and having shafts 4 along the straight line at both ends crossed with the straight line extended in the shifting direction. The bearings 5 of the shafts 4 are supported so as to be freely elevated/lowered with an elevating/ lowering means 7 arranged to a carrier 6. The inclination downward to the right side can be formed at the lower part of the furnace body 1 by tilting the vessel (furnace body) 1 at the time of discharging the molten iron to form the supporting height of the left shaft to higher than the supporting height of the right shaft with an elevating/lowering means 7, and the molten iron and slag, etc., at the left end part of the furnace body 1 is smoothly flowed down to the opening hole 8 and discharged. At the time of discharging the molten iron and slag, etc., at the right end part of the furnace body 1, the furnace body may be tilted downward to the left side. By this constitution, the vessel shape can be selected without restricting discharging ability of the molten metal.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the subject gas blowing nozzle which does not generate molten metal penetration at the time of stopping gas blowing by using a porous material having air permeability for the refractories of the gas blowing nozzle formed by loading plural pieces of small-diameter metallic pipes into the refractories enclosed with a metallic outside frame. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 14 for blowing the bottom blowing gas of a top and bottom blown converter is constituted by forming the refractories 2 enclosed with the metallic outside frame 3 made of the porous material and loading plural pieces of the small- diameter metallic pipes 1 into the refractories 2. A gas supply pipe 4 for supplying the active gas or inert gas 10 is connected to the small-diameter metallic pipes 1 via a gas accumulation chamber 5. The bottom of the porous refractories 2 is connected to the gas supplying pipe 8 of the cooling gas or inert gas 9 via a separated gas accumulation chamber 7. The variable range of the flow rate of the blowing gas is equal to the variable range of the conventional nozzles, but the generation of the molten metal penetration at the time of stopping the gas blowing is prevented by using such gas blowing nozzle 14. In addition, the gas blowing nozzle 14 of the vessel for refining the molten metal which is excellent in terms of life and production cost is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of operation in an electric furnace and reduce various kinds of the unit consumptions by automatically measuring and controlling slag-foaming height in on-line at the time of refining a steel in the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION:A distance sensor 1 for measuring the distance (l1) between a furnace roof and the slag surface is arranged at the furnace roof 2 in the electric furnace 3. The slag surface height (l2) during the operation in the electric furnace 3 is treated with a data operation processor 21 and calculated by always measuring the (l1) value in the refining period, and by using the distance to the steel bath 18 surface measured at the initial stage of the operation as the reference. In the case the foaming slag 14 during the operation does not cover the arc 19, the carbon powder is automatically added from a blowing hopper 16 so that the measured foaming slag height (l1) corresponds to the objective value of the preset arc length. Further, in the case the slag 14 excessively covers the arc 19, aluminum ash is added to reduce the foaming height. By this method, the suitability of charged voltage in the refining period and the improvement of the productivity, etc., are obtd.
