    • PURPOSE:To automatically detect a wave on a sailing vessel by using a device of a simple structure, by detecting a water pressure by using a pressure detecting section towed by the vessel obliquely behind the vessel and finding various dimensions of wave information by arithmetic. CONSTITUTION:When a vessel 1 sails towing a pressure detecting section 2, the section 2 navigates underwater obliquely behind the vessel 1 and outputs electric signals after receiving water pressures caused by the underwater navigation and waves received by means of the actions of its shape, weight, and hydrofoil, without receiving any influences of the waves produced by the vessel 1 and irregular water flows 14 behind the propeller of the vessel 1. Noises contained in the electric signals are removed by means of a filter provided in a circuit 7 and, furthermore, DC components caused by the change in the sailing speed of the vessel are removed by means of a capacitor. Electric signals indicating variation of water pressure caused by waves only are stored in a storage device 9 through an AD converter 8 and, a fixed time after, separated into fundamental waves and higher harmonics to an appropriate degree by means of a high-speed Fourier transformation device 11 and outputted to a display device 10 through an input-output interface 6.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the transmission time to the utmost and to decreases remarkably the communication cost of a facsimile equipment by describing a mark to the peripheral of transmission paper in parallel with the main and sub scanning directions respectively, using a microprocessor built in the facsimile transmission side device so as to detect electrically the said mark and setting a space signal processing area to the transmission paper according to the described position of the said mark.
      CONSTITUTION: When a bar code A at the left of the upper side is scanned (arrow j) and a picture signal is fed to a control section 9, a microprocessor 28 reads this signal and generates two kinds of commands and the information of one side described on the left side paper face from a vertical line (e) passing through the code A is skipped. Then a bar code B at the right of the upper side is scanned, a piece of information described to the right side of a vertical line (f) passing through the bar code B is processed as a space signal. Thus, all information included at the upper part of a horizontal line (g), the lower part of the (h), the left of the vertical line (e) and the right part of the (f) is processed as a space signal, and the information in a section 26 trimmed by hatching finally, that is, only a graph 20 is transmitted.
