    • PURPOSE:To prevent smoking and dust generation caused by one' s own industrial plant as a pollution source by comparing and judging the standard image which is obtained by dividing an inmage taken repeatedly in a fixed visible field into image elements, the different image from the real time image, and weather condition data. CONSTITUTION:Images in a fixed visible field are repeatedly taken by a camera. After changing images changeble by sunshine, rain falling, etc., like dust generating and smoking images of a converter steelmaking plant of an iron-manufacturing company are divided into image elements and the moving average of the image elements of several images is calculated, the difference between the brightness of each image element of a real-time changing image and that of the calculated result is calculated. Dust generation and smoking are judged based on the difference images and the resulting signal is supplied to a computer 54. At the same time, wind direction, wind speed, and sunshine data are sent to the computer 54 from a weather condition detecting part 52 and further image pattern information for respective pollution sources are sent to the computer 54 from an image pattern refering part 53. Those three kinds of signals are compared and refered to distinguish the pollution source quickly. Consequently, dust generation and smoking are found in an extremely early stage and emergency treatment becomes possible.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the leakage of molten metal and the clogging of nozzle, by combining a first passage composing of plural number of small holes and a second passage collecting gas in the small holes to constitute a bottom blowing nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle main body 12 of the bottom blowing nozzle 10 is made of truncated cone shape non-porous refractory and a pipe 16 providing steel-made flange 14 is fitted to the lower end thereof. At the lower part of the nozzle main body 12, the first passage 20 is formed by burring the plural steel-made pipe 18 and opened on the lower face of steel-made gas collecting box 22, to form a gas storage 24 by the gas collecting box 22. Steel-made single pipe 26 (or double pipes) is fitted to the upper face of gas collecting box 22, to form the second passage 28. In this way, even if the molten metal invades in the second passage 28, the invaded molten metal does not pass through the plural small holes of the first passage 20 by its surface tension and the low pressure blowing gas is used.

    • PURPOSE:To recover a converter gas at a high yield by blowing an inert gas in such a manner that a pressure difference between inside and outside skirts attains a specific value or below at the time of hermetically closing the gas generated from the converter by the double skirts and recovering such gas. CONSTITUTION:The converter gas contg. much CO and Fe2O3 powders in the timing when a decarburization reaction is active is recovered at a high recovery rate by hermetically closing the part between a converter throat and flue with the double skirts without escaping said gas to the outside and without allowing CO to be burned by the air intruded from the outside at the time of steel making refining by the top blown converter. The inert gas such as N2 or Ar is blown between the skirts to maintain the difference between the internal pressure P0 of the inside skirt and the internal pressure P0' of the outside skirt at =2mmH2O. the gas is thus recovered without allowing the CO-component to be burned by the air intruded from the outside and conversely without allowing the converter gas to dissipate from the skirts to the outside and to burn.
