    • PURPOSE: To manufacture a high tension steel having high strength and toughness in spite of small amounts of alloying components by subjecting a steel having a restricted composition consisting of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ti, N, B and Fe to heat treatment and rolling under proper conditions.
      CONSTITUTION: A steel consisting of 0.05W0.20% C, 0.02W0.55% Si, 0.41W1.80% Mn, ≤0.020% P, ≤0.015% S, 3.43N-0.00583W3.43N+0.005% Ti [log(Ti-0.010) (N-0.0028)≤-15020/(1100+273)+3.82], ≤0.0003% B [0.0003W0.0010% B in case of ≤0.0002% N' (sol. N), 0.77N'-0.000316W0.77N'+0.000846% B in case of 0.0002W0.0017% N', and log(B-0.0007)(N'-0.0009)≤-13970/(900+273)+5.24] and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is soaked at ≤1250°C and rolled at the Ar
      3 pointW950°C and ≥40% draft. The rolled steel is quenched at once to ≤300°C and tempered at the Ac
      1 point or below to obtain a high tension steel having ≥60kg/mm
      2 tensile strength.
