    • PURPOSE:To increase the spread, by giving overall reduction using the horizontal or vertical roll, before giving a partial reduction using the partially reducing type horizontal roll. CONSTITUTION:The partially reducing type horizontal roll has two ring type protuberances whose diameter is D, breadth is W, height from the drum surface is H, and interval between midst of both ring type protuberances is (l); this partially reducing type horizontal roll is used together with another horizontal roll with flat drum. For the purpose of comparison, the rolling is carried out by above partially reducing type horizontal roll independently, without using the horizontal roll of the same size installed nearby the upper stream of the partially reducing type horizontal roll. The result of this comparison is shown in the correlation graph for the rolling reduction and the spread in the partially reducing type horizontal roll. In the graph, the black round mark shows the case of independent partially reducing type horizontal roll, and the white round mark shows the case of the roll by this invention. The graph indicates that the spread of the slab obtained by the roll of this invention is extremely larger than that obtained by an independent partially reducing type horizontal roll.

    • PURPOSE: To forcibly feed the tip of a material into an edging roll, to prevent generation of an edge drop, and to improve the yield of the edging pass, by slowing down the circumferential speed of the edging roll on the run-out side of a horizontal mill when the material is bitten by the edging roll, and by making the circumferential speed of the edging roll after biting the material synchronize with the speed of the material.
      CONSTITUTION: The circumferential speed VE of an edging roll 1 is set by equation I. In which, VH is the circumferential speed of a horizontal mill roll 2, (f) is the forward slip of the horizontal mill roll 2, and α is a control factor. The smaller the value of α is, the smaller the value of VE is; and this makes the edge drop effect large, and worsens the threadability of the material. At a stage of biting a material by the edging roll 1, α=0.5 is set; according to the detected variation of the electric current caused by feeding the material into the edging roll 1, the value of α is increased to a final value α=1.0 by which the circumferential speed VE of the edging roll 1 synchronizes with the material speed (1+f)VH on the run-out side of the horizontal mill roll 2; then, only the tip of the material is forcibly fed to the edging roll 1 by the horizontal roll, so that the edge drop in the tip of the material is prevented.

    • 目的:为了将材料的尖端强制送入边缘辊中,以防止边缘掉落的产生,并且通过将边缘辊的圆周速度通过减慢磨边的圆周速度减慢, 水平磨机,当材料被边缘辊咬住时,并且通过使咬合材料之后的边缘辊的圆周速度与材料的速度同步。 构成:边缘辊1的圆周速度VE由等式I设定。其中VH是水平轧辊2的圆周速度,(f)是水平轧辊2的向前滑移,α是 控制因素。 α的值越小,VE的值越小; 这使得边缘下落效应变大,并且使得材料的线性变差。 在边缘辊1咬住材料的阶段,设定α= 0.5; 根据检测到的通过将材料进给到边缘辊1中导致的电流的变化,α的值增加到最终值α= 1.0,边缘辊1的圆周速度VE与材料速度同步( 1 + f)VH在水平轧辊2的漏气侧; 那么仅通过水平辊将材料的尖端强制地供给到边缘辊1中,从而防止材料尖端的边缘下降。

    • PURPOSE:To permit the unmanned operation of ceiling crane for the carrying-in and-out operation of steel materials by providing one carry-in and out truck movable across each yard ridge and one crane movable toward the direction of ridge for yard ridges for steel materials, arranged in parallel by putting the direction of ridges into order. CONSTITUTION:One crane 3 is movably provided for each of the yard ridges 1 for steel materials in the direction of the ridge. The carry-in truck 4 is provided at the one end of each of the yard ridges 1 in such a way that it can run across linearly at right angle to the direction of ridge, and the carry-out truck 5 is also provided at the opposite position of the carry-in truck 4. When making the unmanned operation of carrying-in and out for steel materials, where subject slab is transferred to the yard ridge by trucks, information from the slab arranging CPU is detected by the slab yard CPU to determine the yard ridge for keeping. When the slab is transferred until the entrance of yard ridge, it is stopped and then an indication for receiving slab is given to the crane. Thus, the slab is transferred to predetermined position by the crane and stored.
