    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a junction part by inserting an insert material between a base material having a specified carbon content and a coupling material, also forming a gap between the former and the coupling material, and subsequently rolling after applying seal-welding to the gap, and exhausting. CONSTITUTION:Between a base material 20 whose carbon content is >=0.06% and a titanium plate 10 being a coupling material, an insert material 30 of carbon steel, etc. is inserted, and between the former and the coupling material 10, a gap in a range of 0.1-8.0mm is formed. Also, a spacer material 40 and a sacrifice material 50 are placed on the base material 20 and the coupling material 10, respectively. In such a case, a release material Al2O3 is applied to the whole joint surface of the sacrifice material 50 and the coupling material 10. Subsequently, by an electron beam welding, the spacer material 40, the base material 20, and the sacrifice material 50 are brought to seal-welding, respectively, and exhausted from inside of the gap Next, this laminated material is heated, and rolled under a prescribed condition. Since the insert material 30 is inserted by providing the gap, the quality of a junction part is improved.

    • PURPOSE: To manufacture at a low cost a titanium clad steel whose joining force is excellent by forming an assembly slab by applying an oxide of Mo or V of a specified quantity to a joint surface of a ferrous base material and a titanium clad material, heating it to a correct temperature, and thereafter, rolling it.
      CONSTITUTION: A joint surface of a steel material of a carbon steel, etc. and a titanium clad material of a pure titanium, etc. is cleaned by removing an oxide layer by grinding, etc., and thereafter, an oxide of an Mo compound or a V compound of MoO

      5 , etc. is applied by 20W300g/m
