    • PURPOSE:To enable observation of inner wall surface and exact and rapid grasping of inner wall condition by taking a picture of the inner surface of furnace by a first camera for measuring instrument and displaying the distance between the measuring instrument and the inner wall by using a magnifying lens, a second camera and numeric converter. CONSTITUTION:By operating a lifter 27, the measuring instrument 1 is inserted into the furnace, such as RH degassing vessel, etc., from the lower part, and the picture of the condition of inner wall is taken by a wide angle lens 9 and the first CCD camera 10 through an observation port 11. An image is displayed on a monitor TV 20 and at the same time, the height and direction of camera 10 is displayed on the monitor TV 20 and also recorded on a second recorder 32 and a third recorder 33. On the other hand, the picture of inner wall is taken by the magnifying lens 15 and the second CCD camera 16. Rotating expansion/ contracting quantity of the magnifying lens 15 at this time is converted to direct-reading numeric value by an encoder 18 and it is displayed on the monitor TV 20 and recorded in a first recorder 31. In this way, the distance between the measuring instrument 1 and inner wall, that is, the wearing quantity of inner wall, of roughened-state, can be caught by the numerical value.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the damage due to thermal strain for the members in a device by causing the unit for hanging rod like heat conducting bodies and the metal fittings hanging said unit from furnace-ceiling to be a free structure. CONSTITUTION:Said device is composed of a hanging unit 4 for heat conducting bodies, metal fittings 5 for hanging and rod like heat conducting bodies 6 bridging between hanging members 2 for each heat conducting body of the unit 4. The hanging members 2 with supporting bearings for heat conducting bodies 6 are suspended and fixed to the lower part of said unit 4 at regular interval along the length of a supporting beam 3. The metal fittings 5 for hanging are suspended from furnace ceiling at regular interval. By the free structure of said device, the damage of the members due to thermal strain may be prevented.
