摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative burner capable of preventing the generation of localized heating at a heat storage body and protecting the heat storage body from being broken by thermal stress or the like even when a combustion gas, which is passing through the heat storage body, is drifted. SOLUTION: A regenerative burner is provided with a combustion air passage 13, which forms a passage for combustion air and exhaust gas, a heat storage body 17 provided thereon and a combustion air jetting opening 33 provided on the end of the combustion air passage 13. It is also arranged to preheat the combustion air with the heat storage body 17 during main combustion time and jets the combustion air from the combustion air spray opening 33 and takes in combustion exhaust gas from the combustion air spray opening 33 except for the main combustion and recovers the heat with the heat storage body 17. In this case, the inflow cross section of the combustion gas in the heat storage body 17 is set to a smaller value than the cross section of the combustion air passage between the heat storage body 17 and the combustion air spray opening 33 and arranged to lay out the heat storage body 17 so that the combustion exhaust gas introduced from the combustion air jetting opening 33 may not flow straightly into the heat reservoir wholly or partially.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the drift current of a fluid passing through a heat reservoir and prevent the cracks of the heat reservoir by making one of end faces of the passages of the heat reservoir flat and the other irregular. SOLUTION: Many thin tubes 21 having square shaped openings surrounded by partition walls 22 are provided on a heat reservoir 20 using cordierite ceramic honeycomb. The flow of gas fluid is regulated b the thin tubes 21. The end face of the upper side passage of the regenerative member 20 has a curved irregular surface by corrugated forms 20a and the end face of the lower side passage is flat. The pitches P2 of the corrugated forms 20a of the thin tubes 21 are set to ten times as large as the pitches P1 of the thin tubes. Thus, when the gas fluid passing though the heat reservoir 20 is apt to become a drift current, the drift current of the gas fluid can be reduced by a diffusion zone due to the irregular surfaces of the heat reservoir 20 and the cracks of the heat reservoir 20 due to thermal stress or the like can be prevented thereby.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve coating quality by providing a snout with a cooling mechanism in the part thereof to be immersed into a coating bath and solidifying the coating bath in the snout exclusive of the moving passage of a metallic strip, thereby lessening the generation of the metal vapor of the coating bath and dross generated in the snout and preventing infiltration of the dross suspended in the coating bath by the solidified layer formed therein. CONSTITUTION:This coating method comprises continuously treating the metallic strip 6 from an annealing furnace 7 by passing the metallic strip through the snout 1 which is connected at one end to the annealing furnace 7 and is immersed at the other end into the coating bath 4 in a coating tank 3. The part 1a of the snout 1 to be immersed into the coating bath is provided with the cooling mechanism, for example, a conduit 2 for cooling over the entire part thereof and a liquid refrigerant is circulated therein, by which the solidified layer 5 is formed on the coating bath 4 on the inner side of this part. The thickness of the solidified layer 5 is cooled in accordance with a preset relation between a cooling capacity and the thickness of solidification, by which the molten metal exclusive of the part for passage of the steel strip 6 is solidified.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent condensation from being produced and shorten the start-up time of an oven without deteriorating the advantage of a heat storage alternate combustion burner system. CONSTITUTION:In a heating oven 1 including a heat storage alternate combustion burner system 100 wherein a pair of burners 9 are alternately burned and heat of combustion waste gas is recovered by a heat storage structure through a non-combustion burner keeping the temperature of the gas at a high temperature for use in a preheating source of combustion air, upon the system being started when the oven is interrupted and the oven is again started, temperature rise is performed in an ordinary continuous combustion system until predetermined oven temperature is attained. All combustion waste gas produced thereupon is exhausted through a flue 8 not including a heat storage structure provided in the oven, and after the predetermined temperature is attained, the temperature rise is achieved by a heat storage alternate combustion system.

摘要： PURPOSE:To control the amt. of a plating metal on a strip irrespective of a line speed by providing coating amt. control rolls in parallel below the surface of a hot-dip metal coating bath at a shallow position with a strip pass line in between. CONSTITUTION:A cleaned strip S is introduced into a galvanizing bath 1 and drawn upward through a sink roll 2, and excess plating zinc is removed by a gas wiping nozzle 9. In this galvanizing device, a couple of coating amt. control rolls 5, 5 are provided in parallel in the cross direction of the strip below the bath 1 surface at a shallow position with a strip pass line in between. The rotating speed of the roll 5, the distance from the strip S, etc., are adjusted, and the amt. of plating zinc on the strip S is controlled. Consequently, the amt. of excess plating zinc to be removed is reduced in gas wiping, and the generation of splashes is effectively prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect the presence of cracking and to obtain a stable result in a short time by making air flow through the radiant tube in a negative pressure state below the pressure in a heat treatment furnace, and analyzing the oxygen component in the air and detecting variation in the oxygen density. CONSTITUTION:The air which is sucked from an air intake 5 is heated with exhaust gas heat at an air heating part 5a and mixed with fuel gas, and the mixed gas is injected from an injection nozzle 6 and burnt among tube parts 4a, which are heated. When mixed gas of H2 and N2 is used as atmospheric gas in the heat treatment furnace 1, the air sampled from a gas sampling nozzle 9 has no variation in oxygen component measured value in the absence of cracking. If the cracking of the tube 4 occurs, H2 in the atmospheric gas and O2 in the air flowing in the tube 4 react on each other and then while O2 is reduced, the air is diluted with N2 in the atmospheric gas to cause O2 misbalance in an output, so that the cracking of the tube 4 can be known.
