摘要： PURPOSE:To enable thermosetting resin to be stuck to base body easily and firmly by covering successively a stainless steel sheet with specified adhesive layers from first layer to third layer. CONSTITUTION:One surface of a stainless steel sheet 12 is covered with the adhesive layer 13 of hot melt type which contains the copolymer of a first polyolefin polymer and fatty unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride, and the first adhesive layer 13 is covered with the second adhesive layer 14 of hot melt type, and then the second adhesive layer 14 is covered with a third adhesive layer 15. The third adhesive layer 15 is formed of the thermosetting resin compatible with the thermosetting resin of a base body. The adhesion of said resin with said base body is excellent, and the condition of the adhesion with the base body is loose, whereby said resin may be surely stuck to the base body. Consequently, even if the management of the adhesion-condition in the process is not exact, said resin may be surely stuck to the base body.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture easily an exhaust cleaning device of simple structure, a core body of which is bent corresponding to the shape of an outer cylinder, by constituting the title device with a bent pipe outer cylinder and a flexible core body inserted into said outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated foil 5 made of corrugated metal foil such as stainless steel or the like and a planar foil 6 are piled-up together and wound into a cylindrical shape to form a honeycomb core body 2. The corrugated foil 5 and the planar foil 6 of said honeycomb core body 2 are fixed by soldering or the like and inserted into an outer cylinder 1. At that time, since the bending section 5b of the honeycomb core body 2 is freely flexible, the whole of the honeycomb core body 2 is bent corresponding to the shape of said outer cylinder 1. After said honeycomb core body 2 is inserted, a retaining projected section 3 of the outer cylinder 1 is bent inwardly to prevent said honeycomb core body 2 from slipping off.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the deviation generated at the stating end of winding and enhance exhaust cleaning efficiency, by forming engaging sections respectively at the starting ends of winding of corrugated section and a planar section of a metal material chamber and engaging said engaging sections with each other. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated foil 3 made of thin stainless steel foil and a planar foil 4 made of the same stainless steel foil are piled together and wound into an almost cylindrical shape to form up a honeycomb core body 2. The starting end of the corrugated foil 3 is bent in U-shape to form an engaging section 7, while the starting end of winding of the planar foil 4 is bent almost in U- shape to form an engaging section 8. At the time of starting winding the corrugated foil 3 and the planar foil 4, the starting ends of winding of said foils are not deviated. The bonded surfaces of the corrugated foil 3 and the planer foil 4 of the honeycomb core body 2 are covered with catalyst substances for exhaust cleaning such as platinum and the like.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the bonding strength with a base body by covering one surface of a stainless steel sheet with specified adhesive layers from a first layer to third layer respectively. CONSTITUTION:One surface of a stainless steel sheet 12 is covered with a first adhesive layer 13, and the first adhesive layer 13 is covered with a second adhesive layer 14, and further the second adhesive layer 14 is covered with a third adhesive layer 15. The first adhesive layer 13 is the hot melt type- adhesive which contains the copolymer of polyolefin polymer and fatty unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride, and the second hot melt type-adhesive layer 14 is the adhesive layer in which a plurality of kinds of thermoplastic resins are mixed. The third adhesive layer 15 is formed of the thermoplastic resin compatible with the resin material which forms the base body to be stuck. Consequently, the fonding strength with the base body is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture stainless steel-resin laminate product by easily and strongly bond stainless steel sheet with base made of synthetic resin or the like by a method wherein laminate sheet is produced by coating adhesive layer on one side of the stainless steel sheet so as to be heat-bonded through the adhesive layer to the base. CONSTITUTION:Band-like stainless steel sheet 12 is fed from a roll 15, round which the stainless steel sheet 12 is wound, guided by a guide roller 19, heated up to the predetermined temperature by a heater 22 and, after that sent between a pair of hot pressure rollers 21. In addition, resinous film 24, which is to form adhesive layers 13 and 14, is fed from a roller 17 and piled up to the stainless steel sheet 12 and then sent between the hot pressure rollers 21. After that, the stainless steel sheet 12 and the film 24 are heat-fused together into an integral laminate sheet 11. The laminate sheet is further heated by a heater 23 and finally wound up by a wind-up roll 16.

The first adhesive layer 13 is made of hot-melt adhesive resin, which is the graft copolymer of polyolefin-based polymer and unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acid or its anhydride or the mixture of said graft copolymer and polyolefin-based polymer. Said adhesive has so strong adhesion to stainless steel material as to realize practically enough adhesive bonding with the stainless steel sheet 12. In addition, the second adhesive layer 14 is to improve the adhesion between the laminate sheet and base, to which said laminate sheet is to be bonded.

The honeycomb core body 2 is constituted by superposing a flat-plate- shaped foil 4 and a wave-shaped foil 3 which is formed by shaping a metal foil into wave form, and winding the both foils 3 and 4 into cylindrical form. A slip stop member 7 is formed at the opening port edge part of the outer cylinder 1. The edge part of the slip stop member 7 is welded onto the edge part of the outer cylinder 1. Therefore, the need of fixing through the brazing of the honeycomb core body 2 and the outer cylinder 1 is avoided, and manufacture is facilitated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier for an exhaust gas catalyst capable of withstanding under severe environment by a method requiring no additional soldering work, by integrating a honeycomb carrier matrix with a cartridge comprising an outer cylinder by diffusion treatment and subsequently oxidizing the integrated one to convert the same to alumina. CONSTITUTION:Al-foils 2 are laminated to the upper and lower surfaces of a honeycomb substrate 1 through a reducing agent 3, and the flat plate and the corrugated board both of which are made of this laminated material are formed into a roll shape or molded in a laminated state to be set to an outer cylinder and, thereafter, the whole is subjected to diffusion treatment at 300-650 deg.C under vacuum or a reductive atmosphere to be integrated. Subsequently, in order to obtain a catalyst carrier covered with Al2O3 being a high m.p. substance excellent in oxidation resistance, the integrated one is subjected to oxidation treatment at 800-1,000 deg.C in the atmosphere to be converted to alumina. By this method, all of the contact points of the flat plate and the corrugated board each being the honeycomb substrate can be perfectly bonded.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent die-burn and provide a proper upset heat-input in flush-welding of steel sheet or like, an upset-current-energizing is applied using a signal or a plurality of current pulse such that a current is intermitted in a given period of time. CONSTITUTION:In flush welding of steel sheet in thickness 1.2 mm or less, or construction thereof, a welding is performed by upset current energizing using a single or a plurality of current pulse which is deenergized within 5.9 millisecond. Illustratively, in 50 Hz commercial power source, ignitrons or thyristors 5, 5' inserted in a primary of a welding transformer 4 are forcedly extinguished during upsetting period in the middle of A.C. half wave. As a result, current energizing period of time is restricted to half of each half-wave, and a shadowed current as illustrated is caused to flow, resulting in no die burn and the best possible heat input.
