摘要： PURPOSE: To remove defects in prior art apparatus such as clogging due to a mesh or a screen and attrition of a carrier and to separate a carrier appropriately. CONSTITUTION: A separator is composed of a separation tank 11 the upper part of which has an inlet 12 and an outlet 13 and the lower end of which is open. A zigzag or spiral bypass is formed between the inlet 12 and the outlet 13, and the carrier falls to a position which is adequately lower than the outlet 13 before reaching the outlet 13 to be separated by the difference of gravity.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the treatment of excess sludge having needed much labor in the maintenance and control in catalytic oxidation in a water purifying system combining a catalytic oxidation process and a wetland process. SOLUTION: A filamentous microorganism carrier is provided in an oxidation tank 2 in a catalytic oxidation process to conduct biological oxidation, a submerged agitating pump is arranged in the tank 2 to keep the generated excess sludge suspended without depositing it on the tank bottom, and the excess sludge is continuously charged into a wetland 3 along with the treated water. Further, a marsh basement is formed in the wetland 3 by the porous artificial media 5 having a high porosity, the excess sludge and treated water are let flow down by infiltration, and oxidative decomposition and denitrification are promoted.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently decompose and reduce the volume of an excess sludge, etc., generated in a catalytic oxidation tank without need for an intricate equipment. SOLUTION: The sludge is purified by a preceding catalytic oxidation process, and then the excess sludge generated in the catalytic oxidation process is treated by a subsequent wetland process. Namely, the sludge is biologically oxidized and purified in an catalytic oxidation tank 2 in which a microorganism carrier is provided, the excess sludge generated in the tank 2 is selectively extracted and introduced into a subsequent wetland 3 by specified amts. In the wetland process, the water in the excess sludge introduced from the catalytic oxidation tank 2 is evaporated and infiltrated into the marshy basement to turn the wetland 3 to a dry beach, and then the excess sludge is decomposed and reduced in volume mainly by the aerobe group and aquatic plants.
