    • PURPOSE:To automatically separate a bag-filled glass from lead which is not suitable and protect an operation rate of an incineration from being lowered by irradiating bag-filled waste with an X-ray, image-processing an irradiation image, counting the total number of pixels of a part of a specified range in accordance with metal and glass light receiving part gradation and comparing it with the predetermined number. CONSTITUTION:Bag-filled waste immediately before a charge inlet 9 of an incinerator 8 is irradated with an X-ray from an X-ray irradiation device 15. X-ray intensity indicates metal light receiving part gradation shows 140-160, and the number of pixels corresponding thereto indicates 10-1000. For instance, X-ray generation voltage is set at about 65KV and X-ray generation current at about 2mA so that glass light receiving part gradation may indicate 160-180 and the number of the pixels corresponding thereto may show 1000-3000. And an obtained irradation ray image is successively read along a scanning ray and a signal level is found. After noise is removed by smoothing processing from the signal level and the image is stressed, the total number of pixels is found, compared with a threshold and metal and glass are removed. Thereby a filter is filled with gasificated lead and refractories are protected from deteriorating by molten glass.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect and monitor the height of a liquid surface in a melting furnace where the liquid surface is liable to be disturbed and a large amount of dust rises from the liquid surface by utilizing difference in brightness between melting pot and a melt in an image recorded from an upper wall face of the melting furnace slantly downward. SOLUTION: A television camera 7 placed by facing slantly downward on an upper wall face of a furnace 1 is used to record at least from an upper end of melting pot 2 to the vicinity of the center of the surface of a melt 9 in the melting port 2 into a field of view. Then, a center part of an image wherein the surface of the melt 9 is recorded at a lower center, the wall face of the melting pot 2 is recorded on its outer sides, and the furnace (wall) 1 is recorded on their outer sides is cut vertically for detecting brightness on each part on the cut center line. Brightness of the image is the largest at the surface of the melt 9, and brightness of the wall face of the melting pot 2 is slightly lower since the wall face is cooled. The border between the surface of the melt 9 and the melting pot 2 is detected from the difference in brightness, thereby obtaining the height of the liquid surface.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of an incinerator at the transfer of hydrated ion commutation resin an atomic power plant, by delivering risingly hydrated resin slurry to a position higher than the water level within a receiving hopper by means of a screw conveyor slantly provided while dewatering is being conducted, and detecting the quantity of transfer, and controlling a conveyor motor. CONSTITUTION:High hydration rate slurry within a resin slurry receiving tank is thrown into a receiving hopper 1 by means of a pump, and is delivered risingly by means of a screw conveyor 4 while dewatering is being done by means of a screen 7. And, even during the course of being delivered risingly by means of the screw conveyor 4, water is removed as it flows down within a pipe 2, and the slurry is lifted to a higher position than the water level of the receiving hopper 1, and thrown into a fixed quantity supply device 10 through an outlet, and delivered to an incinerator. At this time, a slurry transfer quantity is detected by the measured value of a weightmeter 14, and the revolution number of the motor 4 of the screw conveyor 4 is controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To inexpensively resolve the problem of surging of blower at starting by continuously supplying coolant gas when the exhaust gas temperature of an incinerator at starting is lower than a temperature set lower than a heat- resisting temperature of filter. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of exhaust gas having passed a cooler 4 is measured with a thermometer at starting and whether this is below the set temperature is judged. The set temperature is set lower than the heat-resisting temperature of a secondary filter 5. As the result of the judgment while the measured exhaust gas temperature is lower than the set temperature, it is judged the starting state of an incinerator is continued and a valve 12 is opened fully for example, to supply a determined amount of air. When the measured exhaust gas temperature exceeds the set temperature for the first time, the completion of starting is judged and by switching to the normal feedback control, the valve 12 is controlled so that the exhaust gas temperature measured with the thermometer 11 becomes the set temperature. When the incinerator becomes the state of operation completion, the feedback control is terminated.
