    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stable joint surface while preventing the generation of a clearance or slip between the joint surfaces by gnawing hard powder interspersed on the surface to be joined of one member of the sintered members into the other member and subjecting the same to a diffusion treatment prior to press welding of the sintered members to each other. CONSTITUTION:Powder 2 harder than the sintered member 3 to be joined is interspersed on the surface to be joined of a sintered member 1. The member 3 subjected to preliminary sintering at a relatively low temp. is prepd. The surface to be joined of the member 3 is superposed and pressed on the surface to be joined of the member 1. The powder 2 interspersed on the surface of the member 1 is gnawed onto the surface to be joined of the soft member 3. The generation of a clearance and slip between the joint surfaces is thus prevented and the stable joint surface is obtd.

    • PURPOSE: To contrive to improve the anti-wear property and seizure resistance of a cupreous sintered body, by specifying the composition and compounding ratio of ferrous hard particles, which are mixed with a cupreous metal powder, prior to sintering.
      CONSTITUTION: The ratio of hard particles mixed with a cupreous metal powder is set to 10W70wt% and the composition thereof is constituted of 0.2W66wt% of one or more of Cr, Mo, W, V, Nb, Co, B, P, Mn and Si, 0.2W3.0wt% C and the remainder of iron and inevitable impurities. The mixture of both components is sintered to form a cupreous sintered body wherein the hard particles are dispersed in the cupreous metal matrix. Because this sintered body is excellent in both of an anti-wear property and seizure resistance, it can be used in slide parts receiving high load. The hard particles are pref. constituted of a ferrous system containing one or more of 0.5W25% Cr, 0.3W7.0% Mo, 0.5W25% W, 0.2W 6.0% V and 0.05W3% Nb on a wt. basis.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a sintered friction material which does not cause seizing and makes little abnormal noise during sliding movement against a frictional surface and has excellent initial sliding properties, prepd. by forming a phosphate film and an MoS2 film on the surface of a specified sintered iron alloy. CONSTITUTION:A sintered iron alloy is prepd. by adding 0.2-0.8wt% graphite and 0.5-6wt% MoS2 to an alloy steel consisting of 0.4-1wt% Mn, 0.8-1.25wt% Cr, 0.15-0.35wt% Mo and the balance of iron and sintering the formed iron alloy at 1,100-1,200 deg.C in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, followed by cooling. The iron alloy is soaked in a mixed soln. of phosphate of a divalent metal and orthophosphoric acid, treated at 90-100 deg.C for 10-15min, washed with hot water and dried to form a phosphate film in the thickness of 0.5-30g/m on the surface. A coating soln. contg. a liquid organic binder obtained by dispersing 10- 30wt% MoS2 which has a purity of 99% or higher and in which particles with a diameter of 50mu or smaller account for 85% or higher, is applied over the phosphate film, followed by baking to form a 3-20mu thick film of MoS2.
