    • PURPOSE:To obtain a print hammer attachment position with high accuracy, by bringing a standard for attaching a print hammer positional determination instrument to the attachment surface of a type selecting motor to a frame. CONSTITUTION:The flange surface 14 of a type selecting motor 13 usually has a highly precise flatness degree. The frame 15 having the motor 13 attached thereto has holes 15a, 15b and a notch part 15c as the exposed regions of the flange surface 14 and the feet 12a, 12b, 12c of a print hammer positional determination instrument 12 can be contacted with the flange surface 14. The before and behind position of the print hammer 16 is determined at the end surface of the print hammer positional determination instrument 12 and the height position thereof at the end surface (f) thereof while the left-and-right position thereof at a groove width (g). The under-surface, that is, the end surface (h) of the print hammer positional determination instrument 12 determines the attachment position of the attachment mount 18 of the type body 17.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a type selection mechanism having a high type selection accuracy, a high wear resistance, and light weight by using a system in which all the coupling movement of a sliding part is rolling coupling. CONSTITUTION:A radial ball bearing 14 is fixed in the direction of right angle to the shaft 13 of a motor 12 for driving toward turning direction. Type 15 is attached to the upside of a disc 17 fixed to a sleeve 16. A linear ball bearing 18 is set in an axially rolling manner between the shaft 13 and the sleeve 16. On the periphery of the sleeve 16, a groove 16a having a proper clearance permitting the insertion of the radial ball bearing 14 and also the rotation of the bearing 14, and also a groove 16b having a proper clearance permitting the insertion and rotation of the ball bearing 19 are provided. Since all the moving coupling of the sliding part is rolling coupling, a smoothly operating type selection mechanism which can operate only by supplying oil to the ball bearing in the early period can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To make the mechanism simple and inexpensive and improve the precision of type position by unifying a shaft fitted with a type body with the rotor of a motor and by moving the shaft in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The step motor 1 has the rotor 7 unified with a stator 6 and the shaft 5 and two bearings supporting the shaft 5, while the shaft 5 is capable of conducting rotating motion and motion in the axial direction in unification with the rotor 7. A shaft 10 has a cam 11 unified therewith, while the cam 11 gives displacement equal to the vertical pitch of the type 14 of the type body 3. Selection of types in the rotational direction of the type body 3 is performed at an angle of division of step by driving by the step motor 1. In addition, selection of types in the vertical direction of the type body 3 is performed by a motion moving the shaft 5 vertically through the intermediary of a roller 12, by the rotating motion of the cam 11 driven by the step motor 2.
