CONSTITUTION:The transfer control of step motors 18, 22 for transferring two film dampers is performed by a CPU 24 in an ECU 23 for air conditioning operation control. An alighting detection means 34 consists of a signal generating circuit 35 to generate an IG off signal SOFF in the switching off state of an ignition switch and a door lock detection circuit 36 to generate a door lock signal SLOCK in the locking state of a door lock mechanism for a driver's seat. The CPU 24 recognizes the vehicle driver's alighting state when both IG off signal SOFF and the door lock signal SLOCK are inputted, and thereafter, it performs an initialization operation to transfer the film dampers in the initial position when a predetermined period is passed.

CONSTITUTION:The operation time of a stepping motor is counted during its operation (step 105), and whether a blowout mode changing switch is operated for the variation of the blowout mode or not is judged (step 106), when the switch is operated for the variation, the blowout mode is predetermined according to the contents of operation (step 107). Next, whether the ratio (operation rate) of the operation time of the stepping motor within past five minutes exceeds 50% or not is judged (step 108) and when the ratio exceeds 50%, the operation of the stepping motor is forcedly stopped for 140 seconds (step 110). When the continuous operation time of the stepping motor exceeds 60 seconds (step 109), the operation of the stepping motor is also forcedly stopped for 140 seconds (step 110), and winding temperature is sufficiently lowered for the above time.

    • PURPOSE:To determine positively in which direction a film damper is displaced by a method wherein a light permeable part of a pair of light detecting elements to allow light to pass through is formed so that the pair of light detecting elements can oppose simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A pair of light detecting elements 231 and 232 are both arranged to oppose with respect to an opening 230 which forms a light permeable part. Accordingly, by detecting a state in which both of the light detecting elements 231 and 232 output a signal, a position of a film damper 205 can be determined. That is, if an end head of the film damper 205 is displaced preparatorily and the displaced position is inputted as an initial value, the number of openings 230 through which the film damper 205 passes during moving can show a present position of the film damper 205. By this method, the respective position of the film damper 205 can be detected, and thereby a displacing direction of the film damper 205 can be determined correctly.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the operation of refrigerating cycle in cold weather by suspending both refrigerating cycle and an electric fan when pressure in the refrigerating cycle deviates out of the specified pressure range, and suspending the electric fan when outside air temperature is less than a specified one. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure within refrigerating cycle is either lower than No.1 set pressure (for example, 2.1kg/cm ) or equal to or more than No.2 set pressure (for example, 27kg/cm ), a pressure switch 430 is turned on. This causes an electromagnetic clutch 213 and an electric fan 221 to be suspended since a cooler control circuit 420 is de-energized even if the cooler switch 410 is turned on. In addition, when outside air temperature which is thermally interchanged with an outside heat exchanger is lower than specified one, the electric fan 221 is suspended with a temperature switch 450 turned off. This constitution prevents the electric fan from being failed because of the shortage of refrigerant and from being refrigerated because of cold weather, thereby enabling it to be operable even in cold weather.

In addition, when an alteration from a face supply opening mode to a foot supply opening mode is indicated, a temperature control period is reset at a time when changing from the face supply opening mode to the foot supply opening mode after controlling the air mix door actuator 18 according to a deviation between the required blowoff temperature and a blowoff air temperature detected by the blowoff temperature sensor 30 in the face supply opening.
