    • PURPOSE:To keep the temperature of an air reservoir equal to the intake air temperature to prevent faulty detection due to dew condensation, by forming the reservoir in an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine through a throttle-hole, and connecting both ends of an intake air conduit pipe respectively to a pressure detecting device body and the air reservoir. CONSTITUTION:Intake air of an engine 10 is introduced into a cylinder through an air cleaner 13, a throttle valve 14, and a surge tank 15 forming a part of an intake pipe 12. Intake air pressure in the surge tank 15 is detected by a pressure detecting device 18. In this case, the pressure detecting device 18 is formed as follows: the upper wall of the surge tank 15 is partitioned by a wall material 19a to form an air reservoir 19. To the air reservoir 19, the surge tank 15 is connected through a throttle-hole 20 formed in the wall material 19a and a pressure detecting device body 32 through an intake air conduit pipe 33. The temperature of the air reservoir 19 is thus kept equal to the intake air temperature of the engine 10 to prevent dew condensation.

    • PURPOSE: To improve an emission and drivability during a travel on a high ground by variably setting a feedback gain of air-fuel ratio control, depending on a detected atmospheric pressure for improving a feedback characteristic during fluctuation of an atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION: When an engine speed is equal to or less than the preset value in a steady state, an intake pipe correction value corresponding to an engine speed is obtained from a map. Also, a detected atmospheric pressure is updated to a high or a low value, according to travel of a vehicle under operation to a high or low ground, and a subsequent drop or rise in a pressure. The detected atmospheric pressure is card treated to 760mmHg when the updated value is higher than 760mmHg, and to 550mmHg when the updated value is lower than 550mmHg. Thereafter, judgement is made as to whether the pressure corresponds to a value above 760mmHg, a value equal to or less than 760mmHg but higher than 650mmHg, a value equal to or less than 650mmHg but higher than 600mmHg, or a value equal to or lower than 600mmHg at steps 151 to 153. Then, respective feedback gains are obtained from a preliminarily established map at steps 154 to 157.

    • PURPOSE: To integrate the deviation between the output voltage of a downstream sensor and a target voltage, compare it with a prescribed deterioration judgment value, and judge the deterioration of an exhaust system, when it is the judgment value or more, to judge the deterioration seen from the whole exhaust system including the downstream sensor. CONSTITUTION: Various parameters showing the engine operating state are read (101). In order to feed back the output voltage of a downstream oxygen sensor to a prescribed voltage (stoichiometric), a target voltage set according to engine rotating speed or intake pipe pressure is calculated (102). Thereafter, the deviation between the output voltage of the downstream oxygen sensor and the target voltage is calculated (103), and the voltage deviation is integrated (104). A main F/B correction value is calculated by use of the integrated value of the deviation voltage (105). The voltage integrated value for judging the deterioration of an exhaust system is also calculated from the integrated value of the voltage deviation (113), and compared with a set deterioration judgment value (114). When the voltage integrated value is the deterioration judgment value or more, the deterioration of the exhaust system is judged to display a failure (115).
