    • PURPOSE:To perform an operation of a motor with high reliability by detecting the induced voltage of the motor, thereby measuring the accurate rotating speed of the motor. CONSTITUTION:When a DC braking is performed, the specific switch element of a power inverter 4 is continuously energized. When AC excitation is stopped by stopping the output of a pulse amplifier 9, the induced voltage of frequency corresponding to the rotating speed at that time is presented at the terminal of the motor. The induced voltage is inputted through a voltage detector 10 and an output interface 22 to an arithmetic controller 23, thereby measuring the rotating speed of the motor and storing it in a memory cell. The data in the memory cell is applied to a rotating speed indicator 26 and is indicated externally. The measurement of the rotating speed is programmably performed in the controller 23, but in some cases, an instruction is applied manually to a measuring operation unit 25, thereby performing the series of operations from the stop of the brake current to the reenergization via the controller 23.

    • PURPOSE:To protect elements against damage, by blocking excessive current flow in the reverse recovery of flywheel diodes with a reactor and by absorbing the surge voltage of the reactor with a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device is composed of a DC power source 1, self- breaking elements 11-12 and 21-22, flywheel diodes 13-14 and 23-24, reactors 15 and 25, capacitors 16 and 26 and diodes for feedback 18 and 28, etc. On this occasion, in the self-breaking elements 11-12 having short switching time, especially in those having switching time not shorter than the reverse recovery time of the diodes 13-14, excessive current flows at the very moment to give damage on the elements. With the above reactor 15, therefore, the excessive current is reduced to suppress the peak value of the current. Further, the surge voltage is so absorbed with the diode 17 and the capacitor 16 connected in parallel to the element 12 that the peak value of the surge voltage is suppressed.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a power source device of low-price, high efficiency and high reliability by converting a current from a DC power source which is of high voltage and small current used for a two-electrode, system arc welder into an AC through an inverter, converting this AC into a low voltage and a large current through a transformer and rectifying this current, then applying it to electrodes.
      CONSTITUTION: A constant-current from a controllable DC power source 26 is converted into an AC through an inverter 30 and this AC is dropped to an arbitrary voltage through a transformer 34. An obtained AC is applied to electrodes 42, 44 of a welder through rectifiers 38, 40. Voltage waveform at each part among AWE is as shown in figures, and pulse like arbitrary voltages having O-current intervals at an arbitrary frequency are made to apply between the electrodes 42, 44 and a base material 46. By said constitution, the current capacity of the inverter 30 is put up with a small one, the multiplicity of transistors and the like which are used is made less and the capacitors 32, 36 are allowed to be in a small size. Further, low-priced ready-made rectifiers are possibly used for the rectifier 38, 40.
