    • PURPOSE:To obtain a forming material containing two kinds of metal fibers dispersed in a resin material directing in the axial direction of the material by mixing two kinds of metal fibers having different melting points with a resin fiber and heating the fiber mixture at or above the softening temperature of the resin fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective forming material SS is produced by (1) winding a material plate 5 containing a 1st metal layer 5a having a melting point higher than the forming temperature, a 2nd metal layer 5b having a melting point lower than the forming temperature and a resin layer 5c around the circumference of a rotary shaft in many turns, (2) shaving the end face of the wound material plate 5 while rotating the rotary shaft to obtain mixed fiber bundle KS composed of the 1st metal fiber S1, the 2nd metal fiber S2 and the resin fiber S3 and (3) heating the mixed fiber bundle KS at a temperature above the softening temperature of the resin fiber S3. The material contains the 1st metal fiber S1 and the 2nd metal fiber S2 mixed and dispersed in a columnar resin material JS constituting the forming material SS in a state directed in the axial direction of the resin material JS.

    • PURPOSE:To make metallic fibers at a low cost by laminating a plurality of same or different kind of thin belt like plate materials and rolling said laminat ed plate to obtain a material plate, and then winding it on the cylindrical outer surface of a rotary shaft at several times, rotating said rotary shaft at a con stant speed and also feeding a cutting edge parallelly with the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of same kind an different kind thin belt like plates K are laminated. The laminated plate KS1 is rolled by rollers 1a, 1b to produce material having extremely thin thickness per one plate. The rolled laminated plate KS2 as a material plate 30 is wound at several times on the wind portion 21 of the cylindrical outer surface of a rotary shaft, the rotary shaft is rotated at a constant speed in a direction reverse to the winding direction of the mate rial plate 30 and also a cutting edge 61 is pressed against the end face of the material plate 30 to simultaneously cut the respective layers of the material plate 30 laminated nearly coaxially for continuously producing a large quantity of fibers.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture an extremely slender metallic fiber by winding a material plate made by forming a metal membrane on the surface of a soluble base, on the peripheral surface of a rotary shaft numerous rounds, soaking a complex fiber made by cutting the end surface of the material plate in a solvent, and solving and removing the soluble part to obtain a metallic fiber. CONSTITUTION:A material plate 5 composed of a soluble layer 5a and a metal layer 5b laminated in the thickness direction is wound closely on a winding member 4b numerous rounds, and, while a rotary shaft 4 is rotated in the direction reverse to the winding direction of the material plate 5 at a specific speed, a bite holder 7 is moved to the winding material plate 5 along a guide rail 1a at a specific speed. When a cutting edge 6 is abutted to the end surface of the material plate 5, the end surface of the winding material plate 5 is cut in the peripheral direction according to the feeding amount, and a complex fiber FS incorporated almost parallel with the soluble component and the metallic component is produced continuously and in a bundle form. The bundles of produced complex fiber Fs are soaked in the water E in a remov al tub 12, the soluble component is solved in the water E and removed, only the metal lic component is left in a fiber form, and the metallic fiber KS is wound on a winding roller 22.
