摘要： PURPOSE:To connect an incoming call to e radio telephone set RTEL whose position is unknown by allowing a radio line controller to apply polling via a radio connection equipment of each zone when position information of the radio telephone set receiving a call is unknown. CONSTITUTION:In a cordless telephone system over plural zones, if a radio telephone set (RTEL) 1 receiving a call via a radio connection equipment (CE) 2 of a zone Z moves from the zone Z to other zone and a radio line controller (RCU) 3 cannot a response signal from the CE 2 of the zone Z, the RCU 3 applies polling to other CE 2 of the zone according to a predetermined order. The RCU 3 stores the sequence in advance. In receiving a reply signal from the RTEL 1 via any CE 2, the RTEL 1 is connected to an extension L2 via the CE 2 and the RCU 3 updates the position registration of the RTEL 1 to the zone of the CE 2.

Next, a manual position registration completion signal is sent to a selected radio connection device 22-1. The radio connection device 22-1 adds its own connection device number on the signal, and sends it to the radio telephone set 11-j.

CONSTITUTION:A radiotelephone set 13 moves out of a radio zone registered in a subscriber file 115b of a radio circuit controller 11 and a position register button is not operated yet. Under such conditions, the telephone set 13 receives a call and the controller 11 calls the telephone set 13 via a radio connection device 12. However no answer is received from the telephone set 13. Thus a control part 110 of the controller 11 gives an instruction of the device 12 of each radio zone to transmit a call control signal as long as no answer signal is received from the telephone set 13 within a prescribed time after transmission of the call control signal. Then the call control signal is transmitted from the device 12 of each zone and the telephone set 13 can receive the call control signal.

Then the radio line controller at the mobile destination adds the stored ID number to an incoming signal and an outgoing reply signal to the radio telephone set 4 in the service area 9 to apply incoming/outgoing call. Thus, even when the mobile equipment moves to the service area other than the home area, the call connection to the mobile equipment is possible.

CONSTITUTION:The radio telephone set 3 is provided with a means which sends out a position registration request signal when the operation switch is operated, and a radio connection device 12 is provided with a means which sends out the position registration request signal and identification number from the radio telephone set 13 and the reception level of a received signal; and a radio line controller 11 is provided with a means which compares the level of the received signal from the radio connection device, and a means which stores the radio zone of the radio connection device 12 with maximum level and the radio telephone set 13 in corresponding relation, and a position registering means is made independent of a calling procedure. Then the position of the radio telephone set is registered in the radio line controller through the switch operation of the radio telephone set for a position registration request. Consequently, a radio telephone system of simple circuit constitution is realized and the power consumption of the radio telephone set can be reduced.
