    • PURPOSE:To prevent the exchange of an opposite station from acquiring a channel under test by providing an opposite station origination restricting means restricting the origination to an opposite station exchange based on the start of a self-diagnostic test. CONSTITUTION:When a segmenting test start switch 1 is turned on and a segmenting test is started, an adder 2 adds an opposite station channel panel closing signal to a signaling signal SS from its own station exchange and outputs the result as a signaling signal SS0 to an opposite station exchange. On the other hand, an adder 3 adds an opposite station channel panel closing signal to a signaling signal SRI from the opposite station exchange and outputs the result as a signaling signal SR to its own station exchange. Thus, the origination is restricted not only to its own station but also to an opposite station exchange at the self-diagnostic test of a voice channel panel, and the disadvantage of the opposite station exchange acquiring a channel during the test is avoided and the self-diagnostic test of a faulty channel panel is implemented without giving a fault to its operation.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a detection circuit of a digital value '0' and a latch circuit and to simplify the circuit constitution by applying drift compensation as the result of AND between the state of a sign bit of an A/D converter and an output of a drift compensation control circuit so as to easily change the compensation quantity. CONSTITUTION:An output sign bit (e) of an A/D converter 1 and an output (j) of a drift compensation control circuit 3 are ANDed by a sign bit discrimination circuit 2 and the output of the sign bit discrimination circuit 2 is sign but discrimination signal k='1' and l='0'. A switch circuit 4 is turned on by the output and an output voltage i is a negative voltage -V. The output Vi is inputted to an integration circuit 5, where it is integrated and its output is Vo. A comparator (built-in) input of the A/D converter 1 receives the negative voltage Vo outputted from the integration circuit 5 and becomes a negative voltage and the output of the A/D converter 1 approaches a digital value '0' at the next A/D conversion. This is similar when the drift is negative.

    • PURPOSE:To keep voice quality in the best state to perform communication by selecting a voice encoding system in accordance with the line use condition of a telephone exchange. CONSTITUTION:When a call is originated from a telephone exchange 1, a control part 10 calls a storage part 4 where the line use rate for a certain past time is stored; and when the use rate is higher than 50%, the control part 10 controls an encoding system selecting part 5 and a line connection part 9 to select a 16kbps voice encoding device 6 and connects the device to a high-speed digital line 20. When the line use rate is 25 to 50%, the control part 10 controls the encoding system selecting part 5 and the line connection part 9 to select a 32kbps voice encoding device 7; and when the line use rate is lower than 25%, the control part 10 controls the encoding system selecting part 5 and the line connection part 9 to select a 64kbps voice encoding device 8. Thus, saturation of the encoded voice quality for a certain bit rate or higher in the adopted encoding system is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To attain diagnostic test of a voice channel panel and a line without giving a hindrance to the operation by detecting an idle state of the voice channel panels periodically and restricting dialing to its own station and an opposite station exchange when an idle panel exists so as to conduct the diagnostic test. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with monitor means 1, 4 monitoring a connection signal from its own station exchange and a connection signal from an opposite station exchange to detect an idle state of a voice channel panel in a VOCODER and a dialing restriction means 2, 5 restricting dialing to its own station exchange and the opposite station exchange so as not to acquire the voice channel panel under the diagnostic test. In this case, a connection signal 7 from its own station exchange and a connection signal 9 from the opposite station exchange are monitored and when any of the panels is busy, an opposite station exchange closing switch 3 and its own station exchange closing switch 6 are not started. Thus, the automatic diagnostic test is executed in the idle state of the panel during operation and the diagnostic test is conducted without giving any hindrance to the line.
