摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture safely and efficiently a long-sized compound superconductor having the critical radio waves by irradiating a green compact made by compacting a base material containing Nb, V, etc., with a laser beam under prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION:The base material, a mixture of powder of Nb or V and powder of >=1 element among Al, Ga and Si, is subjected to compacting. The resulting green compact is heat-treated at 400-2,000 deg.C and is then irradiated with the laser beam of >=100W power. Or further, the above compact is subjected to heat treatment at 300-1,500 deg.C after the laser-beam irradiation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the Sn concentration of an alloy matrix and improve critical current density by applying Sn plating having specific thickness to an inside stabilization bronze wire having specific Sn concentration, and moreover making heat treatment under a given condition. CONSTITUTION:In an inside stabilization bronze wire, the followings are formed: a Cu stabilization material 1 at the center, a Ta diffusion barrier 2 buried in the periphery of the Cu stabilization material 1, and moreover a Cu-Sn alloy matrix 3 having a containing Sn concentration of 5-15wt.%, in which a filament 4 composed of Nb-Ta alloy is buried in the periphery of the barrier 2. Sn plating 5 having a thickness of 0.1--5% of a wire material outer diameter is applied to the wire material surface. Next the diffusion heat treatment of Sn is made to increase the mean Sn concentration of the matrix 3 to the solution limit of an alpha alloy phase of 8-35wt.%. Moreover the critical current density of a bronze superconductive wire can be improved by making Nb-Sn production heat treatment at a given temperature rising rate.

SOLUTION: A high pressure core cooling system (HPCF8, RCIC6) is constituted of 3 divisions, a low pressure core cooling system (LPFL) 1 and a residual heat removal system (RHR) 2 are constituted of 4 divisions, the piping of a reactor auxiliary component cooling system (RCW) is constituted of 2 loops, and two or more reactor auxiliary component cooling system pumps are provided in one loop. A reactor auxiliary component sea water cooling system (RSW) is constituted with 2 or more loops for one loop, i.e., 4 loops in total, and an emergency power source (D/G5, etc.), for supplying electricity to them is constituted of 4 divisions. Owing to the increase of RHR from 2 systems to 4 systems by this constitution, the possibility of reactor cooling failure during plant operation is reduced. Also owing to the increase of D/G5 from 3 to 4, the probability of core damage due to loss of power is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve stability when a copper-aluminium compound material is used as a stabilizing material by containing an aluminium material having a copper coating layer in the stabilizing material, and setting a thickness of the copper coating layer equal to or thinner than 35mum. CONSTITUTION:In a superconductor 11, a superconducting wire 3 formed of Nb3S or NbTi and so on of a copper matrix is buried in a copper stabilizing material 2. A groove 4 extending along the wire 3 is arranged on the outer surface of the copper stabilizing material 2, and an aluminium material 13 having a copper coating layer 12, that is, a copper clad-aluminium material 14 is installed in this groove 4 through solder, and a stabilizing material 15 is constituted of the material 2 and the material 14. This layer 12 is formed by means of metal plating and so on, and the thickness is set equal to or thinner than 35mum. Among the layer 12, a part situated in the groove 4 contributes to adhesiveness with the solder, so that stability of the superconductor 11 can be improved significantly. Thereby, the stability can be improved without deteriorating productivity.

An oriented structure is obtained with a relatively low temp. gradient by this process. The critical current density of the bulk or wire of the oxide superconductor is improved in this way. The critical current density is improved especially in the magnetic field essential to its application. Furthermore, even an oxide superconductor phase having a narrow stable region is homogeneously produced over a wide range.
