    • PURPOSE:To make harmless effectively waste water containing salt harmful to animals and vegetables and an inorganic nitrogen compound such as nitric acid and ammonia causing problems of the enrichmet of a water area by means of chemical and electrical method and also provide a method of recovering and reusing hypochlorite having sterlization force or the like. CONSTITUTION:Nitric acid or the like is formed by (a) electrolyzing water solution 1 containing salt and an inorganic nitrogen compound in a single electrolytic cell or (b) the electrolysis cell is divided by an ion exchange membrane or a diaphragm into two cells, and water solution is introduced into a first cell 7 provided with an anode 3 to electroytically oxidize ammonia and salt or the like to form nitric acid, and then introduced into a second cell 11 provided with a cathode 5 and nitric acid is electrolytically reduced to form a harmless nitrogen gas or the like. (c) Chlorine gas 10 formed in the first cell and caustic soda formed in the second cell are introduced into a reaction tank in which hypochlorite and chloramine with sterilization force are formed and recovered. (d) Chemical reduction is performed by using metal, and can be treated and recovered in the process of (a)-(c).

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge the quality of aggregation reaction in a short time and to determine the optimum injecting amount of flocculant based on a continuously computed aggregation speed, a dimensionless total-cross-sectional-area decreasing speed, a floc diameter a floc number and the minimum or minimum values thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the first stage, the mixed liquid of suspension and flocculant is prepared. In the second stage, the mixed liquid is agitated at a specified agitating speed in an aggrega tion reaction tank wherein an agitator and a transmitted-light-intensity measuring device comprising a light source part and a light receiving part are provided. Thus aggregation reaction is made to progress. In the third stage, the intensity of the transmitted light emitted in the steps of the second stage is continuously measured. In the fourth stage, the aggregation speed, the dimensionless total-cross-sectional-area decreasing speed, the diameter of a floc and the number of the flocs are computed based on the change in intensity of the transmitted light which is continuously measured in the third stage. In the fifth stage, the quality of the aggregating reaction is judged and the optimum injecting amount of the flocculant is determined based on the aggregation speed, the dimensionless total-cross-sectional-area decreas ing speed, the diameter of the floc, the number of the flocs and the maximum or minimum values thereof which are continuously computed in the fourth stage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically judged whether or not a coagulating reaction is in a good state and determined the optimum charging amount of coagulants in a short period of time without requiring labor or experience by installing a device for measuring the strength of transmitted light in the end part of a coagulating reaction pipe and by continuously measuring the change in the strength of the transmitted light. SOLUTION: An object raw water to be treated 1 is fed by pressure in one coagulating reaction pipe by a pump 3 and the flow rate of the water is controlled by a flow controller 21. A concentrated coagulant solution 10 and a diluting water 11 are connected to a liquid feeding unit 12 and is connected to the coagulating reaction pipe, after being set so as to give a specified concentration range in a specified period of time. A mixer 4 is installed at a position immediately after that of charging coagulants. A device 22 for measuring water quality is connected to a water sampling opening 2. A flow cell 5 and a device 6 for measuring the strength of transmitted light are installed in the end of the pipe. An arithmetic unit 20 is connected to the device 6 for measuring the transmitted light by lead wire, and the change of the amount of transmitted light in time is measured and recorded continuously from before starting point of the coagulating reaction to the finishing point, and each index of coagulation is calculated. Then, the optimum charging amount of coagulants is calculated and determined.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a timepiece to be viewed easily by a user laying on a mattress, etc., at the time of sleeping and the like under the laying condition by suspending the timepiece from a lighting device through a suspended string for switchingly operating the device so that the dial thereof faces the laying user in parallel. SOLUTION: A hooking structure 5 formed of metal fittings and resinous material is engaged with three suspension strings 4 which is engaged with a timepiece 3 at its three positions on the rear surface thereof with which the strings 4 are engaged. The three strings 4 are bound with the same length with which the hook 5 is engaged, and the hook 5 is hooked in a ring 9 formed by binding a switch string 2 of a lighting device. Accordingly the timepiece 3 can be suspended horizontally from the string 2. On the center of transparent protection plate 6 for a dial of the timepice 3 a ring 10 with which a string 7 is engaged is formed, and the string 7 is engaged therewith.
