    • PURPOSE:To make improvements in the operation efficiency of a self-propelled saw, by making up each position of a plate material and a rail so as to simply and accurately be carried out when these plate material and rail are slung down by a crane, in time of cutting by means of the self-propelled saw. CONSTITUTION:After an aluminum plate material 13 subject to cutting is mounted on a frame 11, positioning for a cutting jig 15 provided with a rail 14 for a self-propelled saw 14 is carried out, then the saw 14 is made to travel along the rail 14, and this plate material 13 is cut off by a saw blade 4A. Upon this, when the plate material 13 of, for example, a cryostat zone plate or the like of a spherical tank for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker and the jig 15 are slung down with a crane or the like, three positoning jigs 16 for their location are installed on the frame 11. And, the rail 14 for the jig 15 slung by the crane are downed as contacting a guide 3, and positioning for the rail 14 takes place. Thus its operation efficiency can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate a checking operation and reduce spaces for installation and storage by providing a cradle for placing a nozzle diaphragm in the same order as at the time of assembling, with the upper half invertedly while the lower half in the same direction, at the time of checking a steam turbine. CONSTITUTION:The upper half or the lower half of a nozzle diaphragm 4 for one turbine can be placed on a cradle 10, in the same order as the assembling condition of a turbine and, further, with the upper half being inverted while the lower half being in the same direction. The whole load of the nozzle diaphragm 4 placed on the cradle 10 is supported by columns 5 via rubber pads 16 while checking corridors 8 are also supported by the columns 8. The cradle 10 consists of two cradles 10A, 10B formed by dividing the cradle 10 into two in the middle part, and inserting parts 11 which are fitted to each other are formed on the divided parts. The divided cradles are formed in such a way that, one cradle 10A is smaller than the other cradle 10B and the bottom part of the cradle 10A can be housed inside the cradle 10B when the cradle 10B is piled up on, from the upper part of, the cradle 10A.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to perform reliable profiling machining operation, by a method wherein a griding cutter is cynchronizingly elevated through a profiling roller depending on the flatness of a material to be machined. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 7, provided at its lower end with a grinding cutter 6 for machining a beveling part for edge preparation, is elevatably attached to a machining device body 3, and is provided at the upper end of the spindle 7 with a holding tool 8, which rotatably holds the level position of the spindle 7. Meanwhile, a profiling shaft 12, provided at its lower part with a profiling roller 9, is located in parallel to the spindle 7, and energization is effected so that the profiling shaft 12 is pressed against the upper surface of a material 2 to be machined by means of an air cylinder 13, located in the middle of the profiling shaft, with the aid of the machining device body 3. This enables to perform edge-preparing operation depending upon flatness of the material 2 to be machined, and pressing of the material 2 to be machined enables prevention of production of vibration during machining.
