    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing/sorting device fulfilling functions of crushing or breaking a plastic bag and crushing over the whole length of a sorting drum without stagnating combustible waste, and conveying/discharging nonfermentable materials toward a discharge port.SOLUTION: This crushing/sorting device 1A includes blades 21 attached in the same direction with respect to the rotational direction of a rotating shaft 20, and is so configured that the combustible waste charged from a charging port 11 by the rotation of the rotating shaft 20 is fed from a charging section 10A to one end of the sorting drum 16, crushing or breaking of the plastic bag and crushing are performed between the blades 21 and the sorting drum 16, wind force is generated toward the discharge port 19 at the other end of the sorting drum 16 by the blades 21, and sorting is performed by a sorting hole 16a and wind force. The method for manufacturing compost by using a compost manufacturing apparatus, which has a compost raw material throw-in port and a discharge port in the upper part and in which a primary fermentation tank and a secondary fermentation tank are arranged at the least by dividing the inside thereof by a partition wall having the predetermined height and an air supply port is arranged in the lower part of each of the primary fermentation tank and the secondary fermentation tank, comprises the steps of: suspending a compost raw material in a layered form by supplying compressed air from the air supply port; and destroying the layered form of the compost raw material.
