    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically remove a residual plastic material in a volume reducing machine. SOLUTION: In the volume reducing machine, a plastic material charged from an inlet is moved by screws, pressed to a die plate to be melted, and discharged from an outlet formed in the die plate. A residual plastic removing mechanism 7 installed in the volume reducing machine has scraping blades 14 formed around the shaft 9 of each screw to protrude toward the outside, inner surface plates 15 approaching the loci drawn by the tips of the scraping blades while rotating, and an auxiliary casing 17 having a discharge opening 16. When each shaft 9 is rotated reversely to the rotation in volume reducing treatment, the residual plastic material left on the die plate side is moved to the opposite side to the die plate, enters the mechanism 7, is rotated in the auxiliary casing 17 by the scraping blades 14, and is discharged outside from the discharge opening 16 formed in the side part.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crusher that can easily crush an object to be crushed into small pieces without clogging the crusher.
      SOLUTION: The crusher 1 comprises a pair of crushing rollers 5 and 6 each disposed parallelly and equipped with crushing blades 14 and 15 respectively on each of the circumferences that mesh with each other; a driving mechanism that drives the crushing rollers 5 and 6 to counter rotate; and an auxiliary roller 11 disposed parallelly below the rollers 5 and 6 at a prescribed distance apart that rotates upon receiving a predetermined or higher torque through the object to be crushed from the crushing rollers 5 and 6. The object is re-crushed on the auxiliary roller 11 subsequent to crushing by the crushing rollers 5 and 6, and thereby the object can be crushed into small pieces. In the re-crushing operation, the auxiliary roller 11 rotates upon receiving a predetermined or higher torque, and hence the object accumulated on the auxiliary roller 11 is caused to fall down to prevent the clogging of the crusher.
