    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quay crane capable of suppressing vibration by lengthening a characteristic period, even when a large-scale earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: A quay crane 1 includes: a guide 11 installed along a horizontal member 5; a moving body 10 installed at a lower end part of a diagonal member 4 and formed movably along the guide 11; and a fixing device 40 for fixing a relative position between the moving body 10 and the guide 11. The fixing device 40 has: an anchor plate 41 to be inserted into a through-hole 43 formed so as to communicate with at least one of the guide 11 and the horizontal member 5, and with the moving body 10; and a support device 42 for supporting the anchor plate 41. The anchor plate 41 has such strength that it is not broken by external force generated at the anchor plate 41 through the moving body 10. When an earthquake occurs, the action of the support device 42 removes the anchor plate 41 from the through-hole 43 to release the fixing device 40, and thereby the moving body 10 is made movable along the guide 11.
