    • PURPOSE:To execute both whetstone polishing and electrolytic polishing process simultaneously in parallel, by arranging a spriral ridge having both conductivity and elasticity on the circular peripheral surface of the tool main body and make a polishing tool provided with an elastic whetstone layer to rotate by itself and revolve on said spiral peripheral surface along the inner periphery of a metal tube. CONSTITUTION:A polishing tool 1 is provided with a spiral ridge 3 having both conductivity and elasticity on the circular peripheral surface of the tool main body 2 made of rigid material and a whetstone layer 4 having elasticity on said peripheral surface. Further, said polishing tool 1 is driven, in its self rotation around the shaft line (b) of the tool main body 2, by the rotational output transmitted from a drive unit 5 actuated by a motor 6 and a speed change output gear 7 and driven in revolution with radius (r) of revolutional orbit around the shaft line (d) of a metal pipe 5 to be polished. Accordingly, not only the conventional polishing utilizing electrolytic fusion but also composite polishing action have been achieved based upon the electrolytic polishing process by means of electrotylic liquid blended with abrasive and mirror face finishing on the inner surface of a metal tube can be carried out properly in a short time.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve finishing of a mirror surface effectively in a short time by pivotally supporting a plurality of electrode plates along the outer circumference of the tip part of an electrode support shaft, radially opening said electrode plates up to an arbitrary angle to confront the inner face to be polished and forcing each electrode plate to make rotation and axial reciprocating slide in the electrolytic liquid. CONSTITUTION:A supportring 9 is slided axially via a link 11 by making, on an electrode support shaft 5, back and forth adjustment of an adjusting serew ring 10 coustituting an electrode opening mechanism 8, and each electrode plate L is actuated to open via each supporting rod 12. The angle of opening and holding at open position can be arbitrarily set and secured by meaus of the adjusting screw ring 10. Each electrode plate 1 is set at the optimum angle of opening to be inserted into a metal tank 17 in response to the shape and size of the inner surface 17a of the cylindrical metal tank 17 to be the target object of polishing, while the part of metal tank 17 on the positive electrode part 2 side is rendered a negative electrode and the metal tank 17 is filled with electrolytic liquid 18 including abrasive 19. Assigned voltage is applied to both electrodes and each electrode plate 1 is rotated and reciprocated in sliding in the axial direction so as to achieve effective mirror face finishing.

    • PURPOSE:To perform good polishing further suitably in a short time, by constituting the polishing work so as to perform combined polishing action by the slide contact polishing through a grinding stone layer an the rubbing polishing interposing an abrasive grain mixed in an electrolyte, in the case of mirror finish polishing of the internal surface in a metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:A polishing tool 1 is constituted from a tool main unit 2 using a rigid material, helical strip 3 having conductivity and elasticity, and a grindstone layer 4 formed on the peripheral surface of this helical strip and having elasticity. While the tool 1 is rotated and driven by a driving gear 5 comprising an electric motor 6 and a driving mechanism 7. Next, an internal surface 9a of a metallic pipe 9 applies combined polishing action by the slide contact polishing through a grindstone external surface 4a of the layer 4 having elasticity and the rubbing polishing interposing an abrasive grain 12 between these internal surface 9a and the external surface 4a, needless to say the polishing by essential liquation of electrolytic polishing. By this constitution, the tool enables mirror finish polishing to be well further suitably performed in a short time.
