    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coking assistant for firing capable of dispersing sufficiently raw material powder in ceramics production or in sintered metal production (powder metallurgy) and binding each raw material powder, and further keeping moldability which is necessary for post processing, and having a property of low carbon residue for keeping a characteristic after firing.SOLUTION: This coking assistant for firing contains a propylene-based copolymer (A). The propylene-based copolymer (A) preferably contains 1-butene, or may contain another olefin-based resin (B) and/or a styrene-based elastomer (C). When being used for ceramics component production or sintered metal component production (powder metallurgy), the coking assistant for firing can disperse sufficiently raw material powder (metal powder, graphite powder, inorganic raw material powder) and bind each raw material powder, and further keep moldability which is necessary for post processing, and has the property of low carbon residue for keeping the characteristic after firing, to thereby enable production of a ceramics component or a sintered metal component which is more excellent compared with hitherto. Further, when being formed into a green tape, high strength and extension can be maintained.
