    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting powder coating composition which has improved properties for mixing and dispersing components, especially a resin component and a curing agent component, constituting the powder coating without changing general powder coating production processes, namely the processes of melt kneading, cooling solidification, crushing and classification, gives thermally cured coating films having improved appearance characteristics (high gloss and the like), physical characteristics (hardness, scratch resistance, and the like), chemical characteristics (acid resistance, solvent resistance and the like), especially improved scratch resistance, when the coating films comprising the thermosetting powder coating composition is thermally cured, and is suitably used for coating uses for the bodies of automobiles and the like and for parts for the vehicles. SOLUTION: This thermosetting powder coating composition comprises (A) a glycidyl group-containing acrylic resin obtained by (co) polymerizing monomer(s) containing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a glycidyl group and/or a β-methylglycidyl group, (B) a polybasic carboxyl curing agent, and (C) a styrene-maleic acid copolymer alcohol adduct, wherein the 60 degree glossiness value of the obtained cured coating film is ≥80.
