    • PURPOSE: To obtain a porous substance of a porous polyacetylene structure, by dehydrohalogenating a halogen-containing polymer by immersing a solution of the polymer and a phase transfer catalyst component in an alkali solution.
      CONSTITUTION: A halogen-containing polymer (e.g., polyvinyl halide or polyvinylidene halide polymer) and a phase transfer catalyst (e.g., tetrabutylammonium bromide or chloride) are dissolved in an organic solvent comprising a mixture of tetrahydrofuran, dioxane, etc. The concentration of the halogen-containing polymer is generally 1W50wt%, preferably, 3W30wt% and the amount of the phase transfer catalyst compound used is preferably 0.01W0.02g equivalent, based on the hydrogen halide. This polymer solution is immersed in an alkali solution to dehydrohalogenate the polymer.

    • PURPOSE: To carry out the bonding of a molded article of a fluorine-containing polymer, easily and effectively, by treating the article with an alkaline solution and a phase-transfer catalyst, and using the surface of the dehydrofluorinated layer formed to the surface of the molded article as the bonding face.
      CONSTITUTION: A molded article of a fluorine-containing polymer, e.g. film or various molded articles of a homopolymer or copolymer of polyvinyl fluoride, polyvinylidene fluoride, etc. is treated with a mixture of (A) an aqueous solution or methyl alcohol solution etc. of an alkaline substance such as a 5W30wt% solution of NaOH, KOH, organic amine, etc. and (B) 1×10
      -4 W1%, preferably 0.01W0.1% phase-transfer catalyst such as a quaternary ammonium salt, quaternary phosphonium salt, etc., at 40W150°C, preferably 80W110°C for ≥10sec, preferably 30secW3hr. The dehydrofluorinated layer formed on the surface is used as the bonding face of the titled process.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to record information and optically read the recorded information, by applying thermal energy to a recording material to generate a thermal hysteresis. CONSTITUTION:Thermal energy is applied to an amorphous substance having a change of specific heat at a glass transition temperature [DELTACp (J.K .g )] satisfying the relationship of DELTACp>=0.86exp(-Tg/394.3) and a change of specific heat per one mole of an average molecular weight of molecular component units constituting the substance at the glass transition temperature [M'.DELTACp (J.K . mol )] satisfying the relationship of M'.DELTACp>=10.9 to generate a thermal hysteresis. The recording material is once heated to a temperature not lower than the glass transition temperature, followed by slowly or rapidly cooling to obtain a uniform state. After this pretreatment, the positions for recording in the material are irradiated with IR rays, laser light or the like to partially heating the material to a temperature not lower then the glass transition point, followed by rapidly or slowly cooling to impart a thermal hysteresis, whereby parts differing from other parts in density or refractive index are provided, resulting in performing recording.
