    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement clinker in which there is no mixing of a solid combustible material when cooling and the content of harmful hexavalent chromium is reduced, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same, a hydraulic material using the clinker, and a clinker cooler. SOLUTION: The cement clinker is obtained by supplying a solid combustible material with a particle size of 5-100 mm in a part in which the temperature in a clinker cooler is 850-1,000°C, wherein the content value of hexavalent chromium is 2 ppm or less and the amount of remaining carbon is 0.01% or less. The clinker cooler includes: a pipe or a tub which consists of a refractory or a heat-resistant metal material; and a cooler grate which has: a means which intercepts a cooling air, regulates a reducing atmosphere, or thickens a cement clinker layer air on the cooler grate installed in a clinker cooler; and/or a structure which reduces the amount of the cooling air.
