    • PURPOSE:To obtain a rolling mill capable of performing both a rolling with movable work rolls and a rolling with fixed rolls by constituting said mill that supports attachably and detachably the roll chocks of work rolls by side beams installed movably by a driving means in the axial direction of the roll. CONSTITUTION:Roll chocks 3a, b, 3'a, b of work rolls 2, 2' are supported by side beams 11a, b, 11'a, b provided, movably on respective projecting guides (not shown in the figure) and in the axial direction of the roll, to the housings 1a, 1b placed at the operating side A and the driving side B of a mill, and are attachably and detachably engaged with the side beams 11a, b, 11'a, b by clamps 16, 16', 24, 24'. Said side beams 11a, 11'a, are moved by a driving means consisting of worm jacks 19, 19' and screw shafts 20, 20' to shift the work rolls 2, 2' together with the roll chocks 3a, 3'a. Further, supporting beds 29, 29' for supporting the couplings 35, 35', which connect the rolls 2, 2' to spindles 40, 40' in accordance with the length of roll, and the side beams 11b, 11'b are relatively movably connected to each other.

    • PURPOSE:To rearrange rolls without biting a foreign matter and in a short time by supporting specifically inside and outside roll chocks in a rolling mill for bending shiftable work rolls. CONSTITUTION:Outside and inside roll chocks 102, 103 are set to the axial ends of upper and lower work rolls 1, (1') unmovably in the axial directions and freely turnably by a freely self-detachable clamp 106. Each roll chock is fitted to the space which penetrates lengthwise chock side frames 107, 108, and is supported freely rockably around a center line parallel to the sheet passing direction by a pair of pins 109, 110 provided to both side faces of each frame. A roll bending device 13 is engaged freely detachably with a grooved part 111 located on the roll-axis direction above which the frame is opened. Further, a roll balancing device 19 is interposed between a flange 112 at the upper side of grooved part 111 and a housing 6. A roll shifting device 5 for moving the frame 107 located at the driving side of a mill, is connected to the frame 107. Further, a stopping part for stopping the frame 107 when it moves more than a proper distance, is provided to the end part of groove 111.
