    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for precision casting which generates no deformation even when held at a high temperature for a long time and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a mold for precision casting which has a core having a shape corresponding to a cavity inside a casting and an outer mold having a shape corresponding to the outer peripheral surface of the casting, wherein the outer mold comprises: a prime layer (first dried film) 101A which is formed on the inner peripheral surface and is composed of a slurry film obtained by drying using a mold slurry for precision casting of a silica sol having a particle diameter of 20 nm; slurry layers 102 which are formed outside the prime layer (first dried film) 101A and are composed of a mold slurry for precision casting; and a multi-layered back-up layer 105A which is obtained by forming a back-up layer (second dried film) 104-1 a plurality of times which is formed by drying stucco layers 103, in which a range of the particle size distribution of stucco particles is set as 1 for the blending of fine particles having a particle diameter of 50 to 500 μm, 1 to 16 for medium particles having a particle diameter of 0.5 to 2 mm and 1 to 40 for coarse particles having a particle diameter of 2 to 4 mm, are adhered to the slurry layers as a stucco material.
