摘要： PURPOSE:To draw out only an ion from a drawer electrode by forming a filamentary electrode in the shape of a rod, and impressing high-frequency power upon the filamentary electrode to generate electric-discharge plasma. CONSTITUTION:A rodlike filamentary electrode 2 is arranged in a casing 1 for a plasma chamber as to be subsequently connected to a high-frequency power source 5 via a terminal 4 which passes through the casing 1 via an insulator 3 so that the casing 1 may be grounded. When high-frequency power is impressed upon the filamentary electrode 2, the level of an electric field near the filamentary electrode is intensified so as to simply generate electric discharge. The skin effect of a high frequency causes an electric current to flow through only the surface of the filamentary electrode 2 so that the filamentary electrode may be heated. The filamentary electrode can thus be heated without any problem even if it is large in its cross-sectional area, so that the service life of a filament may be lengthened while a high frequency type ion source may be stably driven over a long period of time.

CONSTITUTION:By driving a motor 23, a centrifugal impeller 22 is rotated in a laser vessel 21, and gas is sent to scroll mechanism 24. The gas sent in the scroll mechanism 24 is adjusted so as to uniformly flow in the direction of a laser optical axis. The adjusted gas is sent between electrodes 25a and 25b, subjected to pluse discharge, and then cooled by a heat exchanger 29. The cooled gas is again sent in the scroll mechanism 24 by the centrifugal impeller 22. The light emitted by pluse discharge pumping of gas is resonated between a total reflection mirror 26 and an output mirror 27, and laser light 27 is outputted from the output mirror 27.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the sputtering device which can form films in a low- vacuum atmosphere and can form the films on a long-sized object. CONSTITUTION:A target 12 on one electrode 11 is formed to a band shape and another electrode 13 is disposed to the state of enclosing the target 12. A permanent magnet 18 which generates a magnetic field in the target 12 is provided. The area in the sputtering outlet aperture 15 of the other electrode 13 is narrowed to form the film in a straight shape on the long-sized object to be formed with the film. The pressure in the other electrode 13 is set higher than the pressure in the outside of the electrode 13 in which the object 20 to be formed with the film exists to lower the atmospheric pressure of the object 20. The magnetic field is generated in the target 12 by the permanent magnet 18 to swivel the electrons and to sustain the discharge under the low pressure.

Thus a highly efficient and high output ultraviolet light source as a light source of various photochemical reactions and light excited processes can be obtained.
