Thus, the fitting face 15a and the tongue section 17 are made to function as an elastic tensile mechanism so that the case 11 and the cover 12 elastically expand in a mutually attracting direction.

At a tip end of the wiper arm 13a, a retainer tip end portion 22 is provided for holding the wiper blade 14a, and an arm attachment portion 23 engaged with the retainer tip end portion 22 is provided in a center of the wiper blade 14a. In the retainer tip end portion 22, holding walls 32a and 32b are provided which are brought into contact with a side face of the arm attachment portion 23 to hold the arm attachment portion 23 when the retainer tip end portion 22 and the arm attachment portion 23 are engaged with each other. The holding walls 32a and 32b pinch the arm attachment portion 23, thereby increasing the attachment rigidity of the wiper blade 14a and improving the wiping performance.
