    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for accurately measuring the pressure and/or the flow rate of a filter element at various points in a filter housing for resolving the shortcomings of conventional systems and methods. SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 30 is mounted on the filter element 10, and a radio transmitter 40 is located near, or integrated with the pressure sensor 30. The radio transmitter 40 and the pressure sensor 30 can be encapsuled in a single integrated component. Alternatively, the transmitter 40 and the sensor 30 can be separated. and in communication with each other via electric signals. A radio receiver 60 located outside the filter housing 20 is used to communicate with the radio transmitter, and an RFID reader or a base station is used as the radio receiver.
