      SOLUTION: This lock mechanism of the door is provided with a latch block 1 arranged in the door frame 2 and a catch block 4 arranged on the door 5. The latch block 1 has a latch bolt 11 movable freely in the horizontal direction and a stopper 12 for preventing the latch bolt 11 from moving. The catch block 4 has a catch 4 engaging with the latch bolt 11. The stopper 12 moves in the direction crossing the direction of travel of the latch bolt 11 orthogonally to prevent the latch bolt 11 from moving or release it free to lock or unlock a lock. Owing to this configuration, width of the latch block 1 can be reduced, and this lock mechanism of the door can be attached to the door frame having a narrow installation space.
